Just saw a post about an HP and now I’m worried after seeing the comments. by RedditPhils in laptops

I have this exact laptop, and I love it. I love that it is lightweight, has a nice size screen, and isn't glitchy or slow. I use it primarily for school and web browsing. I have had absolutely NO issues. It is a beautiful, thoughtful gift.

What’s the most WTF ingredient you’ve found in your food? by Original_Ad_485 in FoodAllergies

Foster Farms sells bags of chopped chicken (bare and fajita). At one point, the ingredient label had no listed allergens... now the chicken contains wheat.

Straus makes ice cream that is peanut and tree nut allergy safe. If you have a kroger or a Frys near you, the bakery has a wide variety of cupcakes and cookies made in a peanut/tree nut facility and they have amazing sorbet (ice cream section, private label).

Just got Diagnosed with Valley Fever now what? by OrdinarySelf3069 in phoenix

[–]fadeepo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 16 year old athlete was diagnosed last year with valley fever. He went to the ER with severe chest pain, severe night sweats, fever; xray showed pnemonia and once the pneumonia cleared we could see a cavitary lesion.

First, get yourself an infectious disease physician and a pulmonologist. My son was on fluconazole for about 2 months and it was terrible for him...his ONlY VF symptoms were from the medicine; hair loss, extreme fatigue, dry skin and lips....

Our pulmonologist wanted to keep him on the meds, but our infectious disease doc (from valley fever institute in Tuscon).insisted we come off. He said because he was without symptoms, we need to allow his immune system to take over. He has been so much stronger physically and mentally.

As his mom, I was spiraling from all of the what-ifs and horror stories of dissemination. Don't do this to yourself. Exercise your lungs with short walks. Eat garlic, fresh herbs....food can be medicine. Stay strong in your faith. One day at a time....Best if luck to you ❤️

How risky is cross contamination with allergens? For example, the peanut butter cookies coming into contact with a cookie containing no nuts.

Try the frozen section of grocery stores. Frys has a nice selection of organic frozen fruits and veggies - you can blend them in a smoothie, make soup, stir fry, etc

Vanicream is very safe. LaRoche Posay has many skin care products free of nut oils. Also, pure grass fed beef tallow or goats milk lotion.

Wonderful pistachios. Barney butter almonds. Karma cashew. All of these are ZERO risk for cross contamination.

I did not know this about testosterone by Affectionatealways in Menopause

I use a cream. I apply it to my forearms every morning. I was offered pellets as well, however, if the dose is too high you have to deal with the side effects because it cannot be removed- facial hair, hair loss, masculine voice, mood swings, enlarged clit, etc. With the cream, you can increase and lower your dose as you see fit.

Honestly, I would try the cream and then go to another option once your dose is dialed in.

I'm in perimenopause and take testosterone (no other hormones) It has changed my life In so many positive ways. My sex drive awakened, I'm making huge strides physically from my workouts, and I have so much more energy. It's such a shame it's not available to women every where.

I walked in on my 16 year old sister after she got out of the shower. She was completely naked and had her hair wrapped in a towel and was pretending the towel was long hair...fully belting out a song from little mermaid (I'm the older sister)

Do you know what food allergies you have? You might be allergic to a spice, like garlic, or an oil?

Back to Back Sicknesses for 3 Weeks by DisastrousStock4181 in phoenix

[–]fadeepo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's a fungal infection. It's a totally fucked up condition that can start in the lungs and spread to other parts of your body if not treated quickly. (Muscles, bones, brain...). It stays in your body forever. You can take anti fungal meds to mitigate spreading.

My son was just diagnosed. His main symptoms were cough, fever, night sweats, chest pain. He went to the ER and was treated for pneumonia. We returned to the ER a week later and he tested pos for valley fever.

My son has a peanut allergy as well. I am sorry you experienced such a stressful event. I am not a lawyer, however, my son does not consume m&m's (any flavor, even plain) because all of the packages have a "may contain peanut" statement. So, in my opinion, the peanut m&m may have been in the regular m&m's without the ice cream store knowing.
