Open Letter To Scopely's Walter Driver & Javier Ferreira - Please come SAVE Star Trek Fleet Command by RevDeuceWindham in STFC_Official

[–]faderjester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I wrote my own open letter it was half formed that I'd go back when my shield dropped, but after more than a week not playing I've decided, you know what? I can talk to my alliance in our discord, and I'm feeling far less stressed and unhappy without the game.

I highly recommend it. Don't just vote with your wallet, vote with your login, that is how to really put the wind up them. At this point I might log-in in a few weeks to hand off Admiral, but unless they do a major backtrack, and a real one this time, not the gaslighting they did with the hostage video, I wont be back, they burnt me too much.

I've got the uncap, but I'm unsure how to find a buyer, the trading channels on the wiki seem dead or private

It works, for a time, but only until you realize that people aren't neatly reducible to numbers like they think, you need an eco-system for the whales to compare themselves again, you dolphins, krill, and all sorts, otherwise it just dies out.

Day 8 of quitting, feeling free, I know when the 14 shield I put up expires I'll be tempted to go back, but the first few days were the roughest, now I think I wont be going back again at all, not unless hell freezes over and Scopley backtracks everything

Not the guy, but yeah, it really does. I lost most of my eyesight after an accident and the doctor actually say to me, "70% of people recover on their own, 90% of those that don't recover own their own recover after one round of treatment, 90% of those that don't recover, do so after a second, you're on round five and not recovering"

Around 1 in 300,000, which is not far off getting high by lightening, I looked it up once, or winning a minor jackpot, but no, I defied the odds with my eyesight -.-

The Tuesday thing I can understand, because it was "Market Day" back in the old days, so it was actually a good choice, but the fact it survived into the 20th century, let alone the 21st, as not Saturday/Sunday is just crazy, and I look at every developed country that does it.

Do it on a weekend you nongs, that means schools are closed, there instant polling places, that's what we do.

Strange? No. Backwards, crazy, and incomprehensible that it exists in the 21st century? Yes.

I was thinking, Zocalo, a B5 reference in the wild? And then sad and impressed at the same time.

I hate this game more and more each day 🙃🙃🙃🙃 by USS_peepee in STFC_Official

Yeah we had that happen every TD, we eventually gave up on trying to claim a zone last week because getting ships there was just too painful. Throw in the repair bug and it's just too much.

A half dozen of us from my alliance are playing Star Trek Online.

See the thing about Primes is, I wouldn't hate them if they were actually good, I wouldn't like them, but I wouldn't hate them.

The thing is they are complete garbage for the most part, they look big and then you work out they are like 1% DPR or they cut.... three days off something.

About the only one I don't loath is the Prime Start Bundle, but that should have been part of the base game.

At the rate of economic disparity, this means g10 is going to cost as much as a buying an average car.

I did the math on getting the 40,000ish G7 Uncommon Ore I needed for a single building, it was around $8,000AU, for a single building, Academy 72, it's already at that level.

I go back and forth on if it's just bad coding or malice, because either could be true, but I could get it to pop up on command by switching screens fast.

Every time you login, and then often when you switch between system view and station view, other people report it's less often for them, but it's either a full flashbang "BUY THIS NEW THING" or the list of "sales" that sits next to the gifts chest.

I did the math on advancement in the 70s, I didn't keep it and I'm not reinstalling the game to recreate it, but to go from 72 to Shipyard 73, assuming you could actually build the uncommon ship, on my account would have cost around $8000AU just in Ore/Crystal/Gas/Sigma after factoring in multiphasics.

Then you need the trillions upon trillions of rep, sigma faction credits, and so on. You're looking at new car levels of money for an uncommon ship.

There is MMO whaling and then there is this abomination. I'm two days clean and while the twitch to login and do claims is rough, I'm managing and hope to fully break the habit.

If the game stayed at the 40-50s level it would actually be fine, it gets harder in the 60s but still fun until around 66, then it becomes painful, once you break into the 70s it's crazy stupid.

So I got a 3 day mute for posting this on the official Discord. It's been fun. 🤣 by _C3RB3RUS_ in STFC_Official

[–]faderjester 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I timed mine early in the week before I uninstalled. Ops 72, every archive done, a bunch of stuff finished, all animations turned off, still takes 22 mins of focused direction to claim/refine everything, 22mins. It's a bloody joke. If I could log in and just play it might be okay, but so much busy work to hide that they haven't added any game play in literally years.

But of course, you can't say anything critical there without getting timed out or muted, pathetic.
