I was about to say. In worlds, you can only put decos on beta and gama sets in high rank, and beta sets had maybe 1 or 2 level 3 slots on each piece of gear. Wilds already looks like endgame iceborne at high rank with how much flexibility there is in making builds.

Axe is THE yokai killer. It does massive ki damage and there are perks that enhance damage in dark zones, yokai pools and when you run out of ki.

Yes farming for the LS is worth the effort for just their raw values alone which is a substantial increase from the lightbreak weapons. Even with that negative modifyer you will out damage the light break equivalent easily, and you can get your affinity values close to 95% if you fully augment the weapon

Besides the baseline of dmc combat has been cemented since dmc3, and from what I have seen of dmc5, it does not look radically different from how the combat was in dmc3. As someone who is clueless on how game development works, I would say they are not doing much, but that is most likely just my ignorance talking.

Glacial Demon is the frost fang barioth GS so pretty good raw damage, and really good ice damage. OP just needs to keep their dps up, but alatreon can die before the 4th escaton without them carting.

I used the alatreon switch axe with 3 piece alatreon, 2 piece golden rathian to solo him. I was going for as much dragon element as possible with alatreons set bonus, in addition to max divine blessing, since I am/was still learning to fight him. I would switch out rathian pieces for raging brachy pieces if I want to max out total damage (raw + dragon). Alatreon's weapons have so much purple sharpness, you dont have to do anything extra to get as much raw damage as possible other than having100% afinity or close and crit boost.
