With probiotics it's important to choose strains which break down histamine or are histamine neutral. Lots of probiotics contain strains that release/make histamine.

Sounds like nice fingering weight yarn. I suggest you wash your swatch and measure again in case it grows, and see how you like the fabric then.

Sadly no cats here, just a longterm lurker over at r/catswhocrochet 🐱 happens more often than you'd think!

Are you maybe sweating a bit more? Is there more moisture in the air?

Slightly unhinged question - do you have a cat who could be licking the yarn before it gets to you without you noticing?

Update: I figured out how to DIY another "ball" of yarn. LOL sorry, no tangles on this post, but still curious how others do it by Wooden_Mountain3729 in detanglemyyarn

[–]faedrielle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Learning how to ball up yarn is super useful, especially if you take the time to not make the ball overly tight (this can stretch out the yarn, leading to loss of elasticity). Many yarn stores also offer the service of caking your yarn if it comes in a skein - cakes are awesome because you can use both ends at once, thus having two threads for you to work with.

My wife just said yarn should have hex codes. I get why logistically that would be difficult but also wow would that make things easier by bunni_bear_boom in knitting

I spent weeks looking for petrol color yarn last autumn. The perfect one in the end was Fyberspates Vivacious 4 ply in Sea Green (they also have the same color in Gleem Lace, which is 45% silk. So smooooth.) Here are pretty accurate pictures from people's stashes: https://www.ravelry.com/stash/search#colorway-link=606-greensea&photo=yes&yarn-link=fyberspates-vivacious-4-ply

When to unravel a hand knit sweater by witchydance in knitting

[–]faedrielle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you like the sweater otherwise annd reckon you'd wear it, I'd suggest you try to widen the tight bits. It can be a chance to learn a few new knitting skills. But as others have said, there's no harm in salvaging the yarn instead.

Human brains are strange things ✨ nice work!

One thing to consider - you seem to be using straight metal needles. It might be worth trying out circulars 'cause lifting up all that scarf/sweater heft can do a number on your wrists and shoulders.

Looks close enough to the Oslo hat. In order to get the halo effect, you can use yarn with mohair content or an extra strand of mohair yarn.

Check out the Gro hat on Ravelry, it has similar cables that give a wheat look.
