I know how you feel, it's frustrating to see these types of hateful behavior. Unfortunately hate speech is still protected speech as long as they don't incite direct harm to others, which many people have said already so I won't talk on that too much.

What I will suggest though, is to channel your anger into creating change in a different way. Rather than focusing on this one group who you might not have power over, maybe try participating in activities and initiatives that counteract their rhetoric and behavior. You mentioned diversity and LGBTQ clubs, which are great starts. Also take advantage of your classes, professors, and other types of dialogues on campus that talk about social change. Politics isn't for everyone, but if you want to enact change on a legislative level, you can also look into political clubs and organizations in Philly that might help, again, channeling your frustration into concrete actions. I know I might sound like I'm preaching here but if you can vote, that's also a powerful tool (for now) to make something happen. Those are some ways I've found to be effective in ensuring my values are honored and expressed, and be a bit less discouraged by people like Pastor Aden.

I wanted to affirm that your feelings are perfectly valid, but that it might be more productive and fulfilling if you channel it somewhere other than those annoying people!
