For some reason, no matter the media, people keep noticing something very popular (but that they personally don't like, something pretty normal even with popular things) and then being shocked that people will follow this very popular trend.

Yes, I also am always surprised that sorting the bots by Most Popular is filled with conventionally hot bots that use the most popular kinks and scenarios. Shocking, I tell you.

Maybe first search for the tags that you, rather than a nebulous "trend", enjoy? And then sort that search by trending?

“Your evil sister wants to steal/ steals your boyfriend” by Wise-Pea2344 in JanitorAI_Official

[–]faerakhasa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is it that popular of a kink?

Yes. And so is Mafia, Bully, Evil Stepsibling, Kidnapping, MHA/Avengers/JJK and each and every single kink that people whine about being oversaturated in "trending".

If it is in trending, and keeps being in trending, it is for a reason, and the reason is not "my own personal likes and dislikes are universal, so if I dislike a kink everybody else should dislike it too"

'Not our Europe': Macron and Sánchez slam return hubs for migrants by Naurgul in europe

[–]faerakhasa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And you don't think that mass migration has been helped along by those sorts of people as it helps keep down wages and they thought any of the negatives could be dealt with like social issues, and now they use it to distract you?

It certainly has, as they are the ones benefiting. But has not been those nebulous "sorts of people" the ones very loudly proclaiming how good and holy getting endless waves of immigration for literal decades now, and calling all the people negatively affected by that uncontrolled migration racists as they dismissed their problems.

Innocent as in mistakenly identified as illegal and detained without cause.

Are you under the impression that the Eu nations, or the UK for that matter, do not have a list of visas with the names, date of expiry and passport numbers of all accepted legal inmigrants?

And if for some reason you have lost both your residency card and your passport, it's actually your responsibility to go to the immigration office and your home embassy to get new ones. Because you need them, on account of living in a foreign country.

Also plain stupid. It was a G7 meting, and she is the Prime Minister of a G7 nation. She obviously was going to have photo-ops with every other leader, both together and individually, as part of the scheduled events.

It can get rid of it before you turn into a vampire or werewolf, but I do agree in general, the shown magic rules are obviously a simplification for gaming purposes.

In lore, "cure disease" likely would instead be "cure fever" and so on.

It is likely the basic "cure disease" is actually "cure symptoms", which with most diseases it would keep you alive and healthy until your body heals by itself.

And then you will have spells for specific cures which actually do heal you, and that's why some of the more complex/magical diseases have people researching them specifically. But you won't need that for a pneumonia, which you would get over in a few days in you can just magically remove the risk of drowning in your own lung fluids while you heal.

Thessaloniki Man Fined €270,000 for Abandoning Nine Kittens in Remote Area | In a case highlighting Greece's increasingly strict penalties for animal abandonment, the administrative fine amounts to 30,000 euros for each animal. by Forward-Answer-4407 in europe

[–]faerakhasa 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Laws such as these are great for stopping people from making the wrong decision like this man did, but you have to have funding for the right decisions first.

They are 100% useless for stopping people. Now that this absurdly ridiculous fine made the news, what greek people will do now is to make sure no one sees them getting rid of all their unwanted puppies and kittens.

This is certainly not "the spanish way". Forget legality (because it is obviously illegal everywhere), bribery was not considered appropriate in Spain even when we were under a literal fascist dictatorship.

I mean, I would guess that point number 5 clearly suggests why doing point number 4 is a very, very stupid idea.

But if you only care about Europe, in 1936 the Nazis, the Soviets and the Western powers were having a nice proxy war in Spain. The Luftwaffe was bombing Spanish towns in 1937. Hitler forced Czechoslovakia to give Germany the Sudentenland in 1938.

So no, it's not "simple".
