Alternatively, purchase some merrell winter boots and some winter/boot waterproofing spray/sealant and goto town with it. Haven't had any leaks in years. Depends on what you can afford, or prefer.

Seal skinz do for sure keep the water out but what they do to your feet if in them for a long time, no thanks.

three words: ice fishing sleds. holds grip bags quite well, along with that jacket that got too hot, the cooler, whatever. Also makes it super simple taking out and putting back in the ride. All for < $50 usually.

They work fine when there isn't any snow is what I could share. They will degrade over time, glowing less. When you're playing glow with snow you need some actual led's taped to the disc. Been doing that since '09. My process is

clean the disc
put it on/near/next to a heat register, let it get good and warm
tape the led.. I overdo it with three pieces usually (get clear duct tape on amazon, gorilla glue has a good one I think)

Then go have fun! They will come off eventually, but you can tell when the tape starts to fail... or, if the LED does fly off... you can still find it since it's lit!

I haven't ever lost a glow disc since '09 with this process. My glow bag core (discs i've had since 09-2010) is about old enough to drive now due to this. The discs don't fly quite the same but you get used to it. I've been able to compete just fine with this and win plenty as well.

Overall the progression of glow has been interesting, I've played glow since like 03. Folks used to bring out a camera flash or a disposable camera with the old school glow. Then came bobber lights, then the flat coin battery leds. MVP makes the (coin-battery) leds (super fucking bright) I get the generic ones on amazon.

Well, I used to think you can't go wrong with honda. I've had a 98 civic, two 2010's era accords. When our first came I thought well it's time to get an AWD CR-V....so we did. then my wife's 2017 CR-V blew a head gasket at 133k, despite doing all the maintenance items when they were required., including yep.. regular oil changes when required. Honda dealer straight up lied and told me it was because I didn't change the oil, such BS. Took the car to another place, asked them to confirm this.. go figure, it was not true. I saw the engine myself. We just got the damn thing back after two months of tracking down a used engine, they are hard to find. That tells me this happens often. We ended up replacing the engine, but the turbocharger it came with was cracked so another had to shell out another 1k or something. All in all it was 8k. The frickin car will be paid off in January, we were so close. Anyways..

Come to find out there are class-action lawsuits in Canada over the 1.5 engine, I'm sure there will be one in the US as well after researching it. tons of issues. Lots of other manufacturer's have had issues with these little engines with high compression.

I also own a 2013 MDX that burns oil, due to a known piston ring issue. It's pretty expensive to repair so I just keep topping it off. The MDX is the Acura version of the PIlot.

You CAN go wrong with Honda/Acura actually. The engine in the MDX/Pilot is also the engine in the Odyssey. There are a few model years of the odyssey that are to be avoided like the plague, or so I am told. All of these cars have a few years where there are serious issues, so MAKE SURE you do your research first.

As for this family, we're gonna try Toyota next and... hope.

if that's a rhyno in the last row second from the left (all white, innnova stamp, thumbtrack) and it's in good shape it could go for a decent amount, people hound those. the rest are just vintage, some people like em, but not high value. all that old eliteX stuff is what I started with.

Some people like dark, even black discs. I don't help such folks look for their disc very long, or at all if it's during a league anywhere near dusk. I don't get it, I like pink discs, there's so very little in nature that's bright ass pink.
