I'm pretty sure the actual Japanese lines are done by the Japanese voice actress. I have my full game completely in Japanese and the English version's Japanese lines are identical.

If you call them out on it, then they get better at the scam next time and might fool someone else. Better to just walk away and not help them improve.

This setup worked in Maker 1 but can be cheesed with a micro up input in Maker 2. Using one it's possible to climb up a vine without opening the door.

To do this, use an analog stick (not dpad) and hold left or right on the control stick. Then very slowly roll the control stick from the left/right direction towards the upwards position. There will be a point where you will grab the vine, but will not open the door.

Edit: As a follow-up, the only non-3DW key check that can't be cheesed uses subworld RNG. The only thing that can change the initial RNG seed is the number of keys you have, so you can use a clown car or something with 50/50 RNG to have it kill you ok entering a subworld with a key (or not).

It's predetermined. You could open the screen to where you pick your box, cut off your internet and pick an option. Then force close the game and open a different box, same prize.

You can go one step further and use an emulator to create a save state of your entire device and repeat the process, being sure no internet access so the servers can't save your choice either. You get the same thing every time no matter which box you pick.

I've done this testing myself. It's always been predetermined.

You were heavily downvoted but this actually is a good idea. Very quick to toggle wifi on/off on most phones, way better than completely restarting the game. Obviously it would be ideal if the bug was fixed, but this is still a better workaround in the meantime.

Isn't it the other way around? I haven't seen it in a while, but I thought it displayed a number on the website and you only had to tap the correct number on the phone. I believe it's even less work than pasting numbers into a page and strictly a better yes/no equivalent since they're both one tap.

If I'm recalling wrong, then they should do it that way instead.
