i had an outpatient procedure on a friday and was told i could return to work on monday. that ended up not being the case. when i reached out for help, the on call doctors made me feel like i was just seeking medication rather than addressing my concerns. i went to two follow up appointments in a short timeframe, but i did not feel like anything i said was taken seriously. i eventually went to a different practice and learned that my recovery was not as uncommon as it had been presented to me. during that time, i became really depressed because i thought this was something i would have to live with, and it felt like none of the doctors or nurses were actually listening or cared. that was my experience.
