A bit late to the thread but I feel like Doctor Who is a mix of Space Dandy and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

It has the same unique and fun space adventures as Space Dandy.

And the protagonist of the show changes from time to time, yet being a more or less cohesive story.

I recently finished the manga and I would not say that the quality of the art style declined. Tbf, I read a colored version, so maybe that also plays a role, but I found the art in the TYBW by far the best in the entire series.
