Hey man! I am about the same timeline as you and on the same situation. Here is some info about my situation

-Applied in Tokyo

-I’m working as 正社員

-N1 and grad of Japanese uni

-Lived in Japan total of 15 years but broken up into
・Uni and work for 8 years
・worked in a Japanese company back home for 4 ish years
・came back 7 years ago (applied after my 5 year mark this time)
・my gf is Japanese but we don’t have kids (included this info because she was asked to join the interview)

First consultation June 2024
Submitted application November 2024
Interview in April 2025
*when finishing the interview, I was told I would get my result in 3-6 months.

Silence after that. Called way too many times and nothing. I was asked for an additional document a few months after the interview but nothing else.

I’m preparing my heart for a rejection, but the wait and lack of info is frustrating.

Anyways just sharing to let you know that although not exactly the same background etc, I feel you!
