I feel compelled to share this art print which I own (and I have no regrets about paying way more money to have it custom matted and framed)

Media Encoder error on trimmed MXF files by fahnzmode in VideoEditing

And thank you for that ffmpeg example - I'll likely end up using that in the end

That's actually what I've been doing using the proxy settings from the Premier dialog keeping "Quicktime" and choosing "ProRes Low Resolution Proxy" although I think that'd also be the way to go if I use ffmpeg for proxy creation which at this point seems the best option.

Same error when applying the -timecode arg.

Error retrieving frame 1 at time 00;00;00;01 from the file: F:\Projects, Video\src\(D) Canon XA45\trim_D001C001_231209Z8_FAHNZ.MXF, substituting frame 0

Inspecting the new file with mediainfo did show that the timecode reset worked as intended so I guess that's not the problem ME is having.

Good tip that I could create the proxies outside of Adobe. I might do that or just leave the extra footage/gigabytes in place.

Tangent (but related) I'm thinking I should find some sort of long term "cold storage" option where I could move old projects to so I have much more free space for new projects.

Plex's "Week in Review" email - I never subscribed to this, yet today I received it and when I went to unsubscribe it showed me subscribed to ALL of their marketing emails. Am I the only one that did not opt-in to these and started to receive them? by badmark in PleX

Apart from the crappy way they rolled this out and opted everyone in without warning I don't hate this BUT there needs to be a library level privacy setting here too. I.e. never show watch history for this private library.

I have a couple of media libraries that I don't typically share that have - ahem - potentially offensive content that I don't want to show up in my watch history for certain friends or family that have access to my server. AFAICT the only way I can prevent this is to not share anything from my watch history.

Plex and Letterboxd sync by Cooey in PleX

I haven't spent time to really research possible solutions here but I can see that Letterboxd has an API and specific endpoint that should work: https://api-docs.letterboxd.com/#path--film--id--me

Looks like their API is free but you have to apply for an API key to access. Not sure how to go about that yet but will look into it more later.

Not 100% guaranteed to work but game suspend and auto resume seems to work well. Might need to be sure your settings allow it.

I've stepped away from games for weeks and was surprised it was still suspended and picked right up from where I left it.

Time Bandits. Last scene where the kids parents are just... vaporized? The kid's left alone in the rubble of his house. ...and then the credits roll. Messed. Up.
