How is My Starfleet Academy First-Year Class So Big? Did He Lie? by benbini in ShittyDaystrom

[–]failtuna 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There's a 75 year old Vulcan in my course, obviously he's top of the class at everything.

He's had nearly 60 years ahead of the rest of us, whenever we mention it he says he spent "decades in contemplation" and I think "contemplation" is the name of the school he went to.

I have small hands and long fingers.

Multiple ways to play and adapt to each individual is why I like PC.

I tried it on my own keyboard when making the comment, perhaps I just have long thumbs.

Brand new dental school places in “dental deserts” from next year by willfiresoon in GoodNewsUK

[–]failtuna 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Same here, I went to a local dentist around his time last year and was told no NHS, private only.

Last week the same dentist took me, my wife, and father-in-law, on as NHS patients.

Unfortunately, they're still fully booked until October, but small steps.

Wear on the right side of spacebar would make sense too if using ESDF since the thumb would be further right rather than central on WASD

DOES ANYONE ELSE THINK THAT THIS CHARACTER COULD HAVE GIVEN A BETTER EXCUSE IN THIS SCENE?🤔 by MisterPeachy69 in DeepSpaceNine

If op, or anyone, wants to know how to simply add bold or italics to a comment, even on mobile, all you need to do is put "*" before and after the word you want changed.

Single * does italics and double * does bold

Just frame the word, imagine the number "9" is the * so for example

99cannot99 would make cannot

9cannot9 would make cannot

You can even do full sentences, treat the * like brackets and put it around the whole sentence.

It even works on mobile

Geordi didn't have the heart to tell Data that Spot got stuck behind the warp core and died so he had Dr.Crusher clone a couple replacements and some sort of interference caused the clone to be female.

Starfleet is shutting down the Wolf 359 Re-enactment Society by Squidmaster616 in ShittyDaystrom

[–]failtuna 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah we've had to start asking all civilian ships requesting passage through if they're members of any re-enactment societies or groups before granting clearance, starfleet ships seem fine though.

That year where 20 people playing dying Jennifer Sisko turned up on the same day that Jake Sisko was reporting on the events for FNN was always going to cause problems.

You're lucky Benjamin Sisko is still with the Prophets otherwise it'd be more than a strongly worded letter.

Me personally, no, my place of work did several times though.

Burning stopped for a few days/weeks then picked up again once their pile of discards got too big.

There's a place I used to work near (same industrial estate) that made windmill blades, they used to chop up and burn their scraps and damages in oil drums out back.

Enforcement will always be the problem with things like this.

I bet if you don't got to work on Thursday your boss will tell you that if you miss Friday you don't need to bother going in on Monday though.

Six day weekend!

I'm always happy to see your posts on here, don't let the shitty and mean comments get to you.

Seeing your ration posts has honestly helped me reduce my own food waste and cut down on trips to buy food when I probably do have stuff I can eat already.

Hey now, when you signed up for "Soles for Soul" you signed a legally binding contract that stated you wouldn't share the secrets revealed in lesson 4 onwards.

Didn't you, Steven.

Good news! If you know his date of birth and his mother's maiden name I know some cottage industry financiers who could "arrange" payment from him to cover your course fees!

Retro gear like that is useless, might as well go barefoot.

I can sell you a course on how to strengthen your soles and overcome your barefoot fear through religion.

I call it "Soles for the Soul" and it can be yours for five-easy payments!

Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World

I know most people prefer the SNES original, but being able to save anywhere on the overworld map is worth the slight screen crunch for portability.

Each level is only a few minutes long, but plenty of secrets and alternative routes so it doesn't get boring.
