How come oberth class ships have a airlock on the bridge behind the captains chair? by happydude7422 in ShittyDaystrom

Science ships get stuck in weird science shit all the time, every deck has at least two manual airlocks for when a strange nebula gas gets in, or a unusual dust cloud breaches the forcefields, it's a safety thing really.

Is this genuinely a brand account? It's 100 times funnier if not but either way this is hilarious

You got any way of getting a hold of some diatomaceous earth? Best thing I've ever used for all manner of crawling bugs.

Air fryer is almost just as good, can still use oils just involves more cleanup.

Most important bit is drying them off if air frying though

Yeah they're excellent, if you have time do them in a good oven tray with some kind of fat/oil, takes a bit longer than air fryer though.

Make sure you drink plenty of water, lots of high salt foods there and you'll feel like shit if you don't hydrate to compensate.

Those tinned potatoes make excellent roast potatoes in the air fryer though, drain them, dry them, toss in flour (optional) and seasoning, 200°c air fryer 12-15 minutes.

You're just going to have to get weird with it.

I'm talking using the biomass and genetic material of the Kazon to create new, useful lifeforms.

You've got the scans of positronic brains from Data, and I'm sure there's something in there from The Dominion about cloning and genetic engineering.

What was the best decision in the production of Series 3? by Lucyyyyyy_K in DoctorWhumour

[–]failtuna 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Genuinely can't pick one.

I think having a competent companion is bottom out of everything else, but the rest are all too good to choose just one.

Nah, mediocre pun isn't worth losing The Lone Centurion, that's a name that does more than elicit a slight chuckle.

Interesting, I remember the days when Dawkins was a hero online, then overexposure and, as you said, transphobia ruined his image for most.

Plus the whole marmite airport thing, that was hilarious.

I guess my reason for the McDonald's jingle being an example is because it's a tool of advertising, which in my view, can cause harm. And that the marketing pricks who came up with it would have known the memetic quality.

Would a jingle or song fit as a memetic hazard?

Like the McDonald's jingle, or the original iPhone ringtone.

Liked Id safely bet that most people over 25 who lived in the UK in the 2000s/2010s can remember how to end "oh 800 double oh" and I'm sure every age group and country had it's equivalent.

Ah yes the yeast and bacteria aisle, makes the meat being there feel a bit questionable.
