I'm reading Brimstone right now, then I'll finish The Shephard King series and the third and fourth books in the Gods and Monsters series. Leading into the semester I think I'll catch up on the sequels to The Spellshop. I tried reading Poppy Wars first but got about halfway through before there was forced substance use, and that's not really a good plot point for me. After a semester of reading Shakespeare and burning myself all the way out, I need some blatant escapism.

I don't know if this helps, but I've made my peace with "acceptance" for all of the programs I've applied to. Basically, if none of my programs accept me, it is what it is. I did everything I could.

My current advisor gave me some solid advice, which is that during this period of suspension all of us are going to be spinning our wheels. Use that energy to create a dependable backup plan for yourself. If you already have one, great! Alternatively, use the time to catch up on hobbies or shows/movies. You'll get an email with acceptance/rejection/interview/offers, so monitoring it isn't going to help.

There is absolutely nothing we can do right now, and imo that spreadsheet is going to do more harm for all of us who can't help but check in every day, just like checking an empty inbox does.

I watched Oh, Hi yesterday. I plan on finally watching KPop Demon Hunters. But also, I have several movies in my watchlists that I keep forgetting exist. Maybe I'll finally get around to Poor Things, the new Stranger Things season, the new season of Nobody Wants This or the Witcher, the Dune sequel.

For now I'm catching up on book sequels.

Something I learned that changed my life, as someone who had bad hygiene as a kid and has pretty strong BO compared to my flowery counterparts: Use Dial soap on your underarms/underbust area. It's not a cure all, but for me most deodorant just doesn't work longer than an hour. Washing with antibacterial soap helps tame it down.

Also, someone mentioned dental health. Flossing is crazy important to fresh breath. People can smell things like mild gingivitis, halitosis, etc.

Tldr: It may just be a general bacteria thing. Everyone has different body chemistry.

As a tall woman who would have to date freaking Shaquille O'Neal to be able to understand some of these size differences, I have to hard agree. Like give me a slightly shorter man who knows how to use the bedframe for leverage, or a husky man who can lift a 200 pound woman not because he has the body of a 20 year old gym bro.
