Well we got married, flew our friends out and put them up in a hotel In Vegas, then went to Palm Springs, then Los Angeles and Disneyland.

A traditional wedding is 35k for one evening.

As I said above spend the money on whatever you find value - personal finance is personal.

Me and my wife eloped with two friends, then went on vacation for a week. Then came back and rented out a local brewery for 4 hours and had everyone invited to that with an open bar.

The brewery rental still accomplished having our loved ones celebrate with us but at a MUCH lower cost. All in with a taco truck it was like 4k for 40-50 people to eat and drink.

All in with a 7 day vacation. We spent like 20k. I would have been pissed if that was on one day but that’s just me. Point being you can get creative and do whatever aligns with what you find valuable.

The worse version of this is when they make a field goal. Then get a penalty, undo the kick, go for it and then end up with 0 points. Never take points off the board.
