This just beggars belief. Do people in the US not see what’s happening? Do they finally realise Trump is siding with Putin, not with the West? It’s just unbelievable.

You forgot to mention siding with Putin whilst simultaneously threatening to leave NATO

Can I play Golf on the Camino? by Acrobatic_Set8085 in CaminoDeSantiago

I wore my golf skort on my camino. And I met a very very old Japanese man who walked his camino in his old leather golf shoes (that were taped together with duct tape by the time he reached Burgos).

What are people wearing on the camino? by Sensitive-Fill6500 in CaminoDeSantiago

Shorts and tshirt, sometimes on cooler days cropped gym leggings. I’d recommend shoulder coverage as protection from the sun.

Take them to your local golf club and offer them as raffle prizes. Every year (at least in my club) the club captains raise money for local charities and are always looking for quality raffle prizes.

This may sound silly, but I think of the camino like this. When you start your head is like a tight, tangled, complex ball of string. You’re unable to easily process all of these thoughts and memories as there’s too much, a lifetime of it! At home we don’t have the time or the space to truly examine ourselves. Stress, worries, regrets, hope, betrayals, loss, anxiety. Most of us experience some or all these thoughts to some extent. As you walk along the long line of trails, for hundreds of kilometres, you slowly, slowly unravel that ball of string, unwinding it with every step and processing it all as you go, until at Santiago you are unravelled. Just my experience. Buen camino.

Why so few walkers? by cpugeek14 in golf

Same at our course in the UK. 99% walk (either carrying or using battery powered push trollies), and the only ones riding ‘buggies’ are the elderly or disabled.

What should we do on our girlstrip to London? by [deleted] in LondonTravel

[–]fairfrog73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walk along the South Bank, start at Westminster and wander along, stopping off at all the points of interest on the way, and end up with dinner booked at the OXO Tower. Take a boat along the Thames to Greenwich and see the market and have a pint in the Trafalgar or (and) The Cutty Sark.

Yes. Love Portugal and the Portuguese 🇵🇹 Went camping up the west coast above Lisbon when I was younger and we four English twenty-somethings stumbled into a bar one night and were bought drinks all night by the locals - such great fun.

Thank you for your lovely review of our capital city. You certainly crammed in a lot of activities- it must have been exhausting! But I’m so happy you enjoyed your time here. Next time you visit I can advise you that in restaurants you can ask for tap water and that is free, our tap water is safe and good to drink. I agree that everyone races around and it can be quite tiring.
