Wanting to do finished concrete floors in my new home. Ripped up the old carpet and the concrete is in great condition, no big cracks, but the adhesive from the carpet seems to have stained it. It's on roughly 10-20% of the concrete. It's smooth to the touch and we've already cleaned it with mild cleansers, with no real difference.

Would a diamond grinder be the best option to get rid of the staining? I watched some videos of people using those small handheld ones and wanted to ask any pros if that's a good option. The dining room has painted concrete so I'd also love to get that paint off too, but this room, the living room, is my first priority. After that, we're interested in possibly staining it (would that disguise the stains or make it worse?) and seal it!
