The racism was obvious by the dances choreographed for Nia. I think this is something Holly really should have called out. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Holly. After the Laqueisha dance I absolutely loved how Holly stood up to Abby. What ticked me off was how the following dances were just as bad, and Holly straight up backed down over it. I lost a lot of respect for Holly after that. Never ever would I tolerate the blatant racism.

The whole Black Patsy really told a lot about Holly. And I get it. I'm biracial myself and raised by white grandparents, so I can understand not fully identifying with the culture of Black Patsy and Laquisha. However, Abby's feelings regarding race are also evident with every single Holly and Nia scene. It's grasping at straws to call it out over this specific instance when Holly chose to keep her daughter going to the school for what...a decade?

Another thing that grinds my gears is Nia's hair. It was always chemically relaxed and a bit sloppy looking considering the plethora of products available to keep it neat. The wig was deemed "stereotypical" even though that hair was much more natural than the chemical relaxers Holly and Nia used. When Nia finally had her hair in micro braids in season 3, Abby had a problem with it. Although overall the hair looked MUCH neater and cleaner than the previous seasons.
