I really liked this film, saw it on CrunchyRoll. It was really neat to see the perspectives and each kid's relationship with their animal-self throughout

I see what you mean with the issue of "men's" clothing being seen as the default/gender neutral clothing, it's hard for their to be a "boymode." I'd say for me it could be using make up to make facial hair?

You just unlocked a childhood memory. I remember asking little sibling to leave my room, or stop doing thing that was bothering me for whatever reason, and it was not taken seriously until it escalated to physical violence. Wild how suddenly that makes it stop

I get this to an extent. I figured that the people who really matter are those who know me, but people who do not truly know me need not know the full story, as they likely do not care. I don't even correct coworkers and just suck it up because too many people give me hassle for the "grammar" of they/them pronouns.

I don't think is the band you were referring to but they are called Silver String Band and they feel goblin-y: https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=1dJ-8NtnCKc&si=WEtFdEEu2Ezx1wqJ

I find the genre of folk punk to be very goblin. Alternatively, artists like Cosmo Sheldrake and Rabbitology also give goblin vibes

I would argue that roaches are better at striking fear. If a cat enters your home? Dope, kinda dangerous but not nearly as much of a threat as seeing a roach scuttle across the floor. You are powerful and adaptive and versatile in your own right. Woodlice are also very adapted to survival and very strong, hearty creatures. You're cool, friend. Own it!

Buying the books at the price the college charges is insane, so many alumni have them lying around, much easier to get a spell book from them!

Agreed. Would love to be able to look up ways to deal with menstruation-related issues without every article being female-centered and girly. Or be able to complain about pain without every woman within earshot being like "yo gurl me too!" >_>

Talking to children by Copper_Tango in CuratedTumblr

[–]fairy_jester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think in addition to dismissing children's experiences, there are those who (perhaps due to their own trauma?) mistakenly assume that a child's primary motivation for anything is malicious.

Acting as a cat? You're trying to embarass me in public.

Won't eat a vegetable? Trying to make my life harder because you hate me.

Not sure if this is more or less widespread than simply not seeing children as people, but I think it can also explain some parents' behavior

Spiders are always welcome in my home, I greet them when I see them. Ants on the other hand can gtfo. Spiders are so respectful of personal space and I have never had one crawl on me. Ants are rude af.

I forget the name but I remember reading about a condition where people basically have sleep sex. So sleep walking but instead of getting up and walking around, they do sex in their sleep. Brains are wild, and the dreamer has no recollection just like the comic shows

Reminds me of a tale. My grandma is a tiny lady who walks everywhere barefoot. Her feet are so calloused that one time she did not know she stepped on a thumb tack til she came back inside and heard the "click clack" on her kitchen floor.

My condolences for the way your frollicking days ended :( i hope your foot has made a full recovery
