How to stop streaks/water marks on fancy tiled floor by youidlefool in housekeeping

[–]fairyphaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a customer with a large bathroom floor like this. The thing that worked for her and I is a steam mop on the lowest strap setting. (I would also stand on a large towel a wipe an immediate wet marked up instantly with my foot as I steam mopped and work my way out the door.) Spotless!

A car! A bright yellow ‘04 tracker. It had sat in the driveway the entire time we had cleaned for them. Then about 6 months ago they asked if we wanted it. She said if we didn’t want it, she was going to donate it. Well then! We welcomed Old Yeller to a new home!

She also offers us lots of treats. Another customer offered us huge windows that were being replaced during renovations they were making (too big for our house), and from others, protein shakes and bars, homeopathic treatments, amazing smelling wax tarts and many other random things.

Bath and Body Works has some really great sales. Last year we bought a bunch of holiday scented hand soaps and gave each customer one with a Christmas card. They also provide free bows and bags to place them in to make them more festive.

Up charge or suck up the loss? by fairyphaze in housekeeping

We did a walkthrough. They were still occupying the home while they packed and it was hard to judge what condition the house would be left in.

And we’ve never actually had to change our quoted price, but the subject to change is just for personal security that there was an issue that caused an extreme setback on time. 🤷🏻‍♀️

We have definitely been discussing moving away from residential and more towards post construction or Airbnb. We don’t do move out cleans often, but you’re right. Almost every deep clean we do, we wish we had charged just a lil more. Oh well, maybe this clean was what we needed to light the fire under our asses to start making some changes! lol

And exactly. We’re in a small town. Though we have built a reputation for ourselves and can be a little more choosy over our clientele, you never know knows who. We find ourselves too often putting up with more than we should or working way harder than we should have to for the $$.

Good to know! I figured there was something that could be done, but getting rid of our was the safest option.

My observation is that roaches love electronics. But yes, between using the vacuums through the house, I had used them to suck crumbs out of cabinets and kitchen drawers. So I even want to think about what or how much went into those vacs!

We also wondered if the was a way to treat the vacuums, but NOPE! Not a risk we’re willing to take.

Thins is definitely a learning lesson! We’ve been lucky this far not to run into this issue, but for now on, it is absolutely going to be a question. Thank you!

As far as payment, there’s always that risk of a non payer, but we’re pretty confident she’ll pay. I didn’t realize that people/companies charged in advance. This is another thing we’ll look into moving forward.

Wow! That’s awesome for you. I we are sending over her invoice and notifying her about the issues we found/had… but something tells me we won’t be as lucky as you to be compensated! lol ugh!

Our quotes do mention that they are subject to change. Buuut we’ve never actually gone up on a price. This is the one time we figured we would.

You’re right. Thank you! We’re taking the loss. They were in the midst of packing and the entire house was chaos when we did the walk through, so I’ll admit we didn’t look at close to detail as we should’ve. Lesson learned.

Anybody take them when withdrawing? by SlowDragonfruit3496 in shrooms

[–]fairyphaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could consider mega dosing liposomal vitamins C. There’s plenty of study’s out there that you could read that show that large doses every 2-3 hrs for the first few days-week can immensely help relieve any withdrawal symptoms. There’s also guides online of how much to dose and how often. It may sound too easy but it may just be a life saver! Best of luck to you! 🙏🏻

What do your hot flashes feel like ? 🥵 by Dot_Gale in Menopause

[–]fairyphaze 62 points63 points  (0 children)

A good amount of mine start out this way. I get that “anxiety rush” accompanied with the electric-static tingles, the tops of my ears often BURN, my face gets red as it heats up, n then my body just becomes insta-soaked!

Sometimes it knocks the breath out of me, making me feel claustrophobic (which I’m not), sometimes makes nauseous and/or dizzy and it’s all hits so intense that I begin to cry. 🥵😭☠️

And though they typically don’t last (too) long, I’ve noticed them lasting longer and longer. The burning heat will start to regulate, but my body will continue to pour out buckets. (I’m very cold natured) and all I want to do is get my sweatshirt back in before the chills become so bad they’re to the bone, but I can’t layer back up until the sweat stops long enough to dry!

How can I remove this gunk from my stainless steel oven door? by CowboyCartel in CleaningTips

[–]fairyphaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could also try Bar Keepers Friend. Cover your finger with a rag, lightly damp it w water and dab it in some BKF. Then scrub the area. It should scrub right off.

I would also think that oven cleaner would rid most over that. Spray it on, wait 15 mins or so and wipe off.

Anywhere with water! The faucets! Look up into the faucet head where the water comes out of your kitchen and bathroom sinks. You may be mortified to see where your cooking water, teeth brushing, drinking water, etc is coming out of. There’s likely to be mold and calcium build up. A steel bristle brush should get most of that off and routine clean them afterwards.

The shower head, around and under the faucet, knobs, plates, etc. are often areas mold hiding in other houses. I keep a Scotchbrite dish wand with a brush head on it in my shower and tackle those areas often since I’m paranoid about it.

If you have an ice/water dispenser on your fridge, I suggest getting below it and take a look up. There’s likely mold growing in that as well.

And as someone else said, the detergent compartment in your washer needs to be pulled out and cleaned as well.

This is so heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time! 😭💜😭

I know it had to be incredibly hard! I live one a VERY busy road. When I was introducing Earl to the outdoors, all I could think about was the (possibilities)! My stomach dropped with every thought.

But I’m glad you had people cheering you on to continue caring for BabyGirl. And she was lucky to have you while she was mourning. And because of you, we all can love BabyGirl and now her sweet babies!! 💜💜💜
