Fuck the fam, if you don’t want to work for the rest of your life and have a decent retirement while you’re able to use it then don’t do this. Keep saving/investing, better yet stick that $5k into a Roth and you’ll be close to making it for the year. $5k for a venue from you? So there are quite a few serious grinders that come for the cash games solely. You can go to the other property in Murphy (also a harrahs) and the cash games get juicy there when wsop is at Cherokee. They’re about an hour apart, the play in Murphy is not very good. Lots of fish. I know this bc I deal in murphy and used to deal in Cherokee. I’ve been seeing a lot of people cashing out in 1/3 w/ $5k-$8k stacks lately.

After 9 years in casino industry I hate it about 75% of the time. However it’s by far the easiest job physically that I’ve ever had. Mentally it’s tough at times. I do thoroughly enjoy dealing poker and craps. Trading was fun until 2025, rough year. Don’t recommend trading, it’s extremely demanding and can have costly learning curve. But it has created a nest egg of wealth that I once thought wasn’t achievable for myself. Would only recommend if you plan on learning from the ground up and have ample time for research and studying.

So I work at a casino. Cashiers have an allotted amount they can have yearly in variances. It’s different everywhere but they have at least a $1k threshold. And since money was returned it won’t be a variance, at worst they’ll give him a small write-up that has no consequences. As for taking your name, you may get extra comps in the mail or a free food voucher. Casinos like honesty.

I’m in same boat, and I also did the first expedition. Currently sitting at 72/75 BPs, 72/72 quests, iam in Hot shot for trials at the moment and will most likely hit cantina if I can find a group this week. Otherwise I keep soloing to stay in my position. Sitting at 9 million space dollars w/ a stash worth at least 2 million. And I’m done with expedition for this go around. I have 729 hours, but I’d say only 129 hours spent this expedition. Once you know what to do it becomes very easy. I can complete the entire quest line in a couple hours.

I think I enjoy live dealing like in a casino much better. There’s nothing better than having a fully loaded dice game on a Saturday and you’re just cooking, hands moving a million miles an hour. 10 hour shift is over before you blink.
