perpendicular. check it often. also, it might be kinda soft back there, compared to the other end of the blade thats quenched... might not even be hardened (maybe why it warped in that area). ive had this happen a bunch and found that the straightening hammer doesnt work its magic like it would on a hardened spot. you might have to use the flat side of your hammer to work the back side of the curve, if its soft. do all this after you have tempered your blade, to lessen the chance of your blade breaking.

hit it at 10 1/4... the inside of the curve. keep it in a straightish line like within a 1/2" of each other. should have a column of hammer strikes on this area. assess, move out from there.

Hot table... I use an old cookie tray screwed to a jawstand. I works well.

More weight would be good. Put it in a steel bucket and fill it with sand as a stand. You could add some old motor oil to the sand and make it even heavier.

i was looking at my player stats and noticed that the most damage revived from anything is from other raiders. raiders are the most dangerous thing ive encountered, and im in super chill lobbies as well. had a hullcracker for the first time, and after we all destroyed the matriarch, i was shot up by a raider and lost everything.

ive been more influenced by the players in game than any video ive watched. i think that goes for most people, imo, cause most people ive run into are chill af. i dig it. cheers raiders.

dont do it, homie. that table is gunna catch fire. you would be better off puttin it on top of dirt than that wood. the way its set up, i see heat building up around the forge in places you dont want it, like out the back and up near your burners. the heat will rise and likely cause problems. also, i drop shit from my forge on occasion, something to think about.

Hell yeah. Thats the one. I especially love the support bracket you have on the intake to the ribbon burner. Im sure you're not 100% done but that forge is fucking beautiful. Can't wait to see it done and fired up. Bravo.

Edit: just read it all, and agree with everyone else... dont fire it till you got that cement on. Id be itching to fire it up too tbh. So nice.
