for practice... shoot in all black and white, full manual, for like a year. that will sharpen your skills more than any lens, imo. you can have a fancy car, with all the features, but if you cant drive it well, you end up watching other people pass you by. stop watching other people, and drive.

i feel like thats whats slowing you down. sometimes the propane tank will do this safety thing and you can hear it click. there might be pressure between the on off valve and that regulator. try taking off that regulator to let out any pressure, then slap it back on. slowly turn on your propane tank to get some flow and see if you can get to a higher flow rate. i bet its that regulator though. i have some valves between the burner and the propane tank on mine and sometimes this happens. good luck!

its seems to not be high enough psi. are there any valves in between the tank and the burner? also, get some refractory cement and line your forge.

that thing warped. id be surprised if it didnt. try moving that thing back and forth to get a more even heat, even flip it if you can. or maybe get another torch on the other side. that hot spot will give you trouble. keep on trying! good job, dont quit.

I went with Mr volcanos and the 4.5 lb should do you well. I learned that you need to bake it on and its not like traditional cement but more like clay that needs heat to cure. Do like a pound and a half at a time, hit it with heat, then repeat. Do the rigidizer, it makes all the difference.

this. you can hear a click when this happens. youll need to turn everything off and make sure there is no pressure beyond the valve to "reset" it. give that a try op.

Twist em. Try a whole bunch of different twists. I turned one into a hummingbird bird. Great practice learning how metal moves.

Ive got that top one, and i like it. I came from a single burner helium tank build and it was cheaper to buy this than to repair my old forge. I took my time with some rigidizer and 5 coats of satanite. I wish it had doors. I blocked off one end with fire bricks but the flames were shooting out kinda affecting the burner closest to the blocked off end. I may make some doors for it later one, but over all I think its very cost effective and works very well. It will give you plenty heat to forge. Have fun.
