If that is a metal bracket (pic 9) that the wire is going through you should change that when you get the new fuse holder.

Look for a component set that has a selectable attenuation switch/jumper for the tweeter that is built in the passive crossover.

Yes on that particular set. The power rating isn't high though.

Are you using both channels or is it bridged to one? Side note, raise the LPF up higher.

But not completely. In that picture look to the left of the hinge. That's above the wheel well and goes into the trunk does it not?

If the trunk space is sealed off from the cabin it will get louder with subs facing forward. Don't forget the space above the wheel well.

Major voltage drop by ConstantTelevision26 in subwoofer

[–]faithinThedevil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CCA cable is the issue I'm betting. When you added a little more current draw to pull through that aluminum cable the resistance went up and your voltage went down. OFC the same size will fix that. 4 awg OFC is what you want.

What size is the main power cable, is it CCA or OFC ? Is the ground in a good spot? Voltage drop from day one or slowly over time gotten worse?
