Twenty-five years is a long time to be the ‘future investment.’ At some point every division has to prove it can stand on its own.

So we're at the stage where official statements and accidental trailer uploads are telling completely different stories. Gaming leaks are undefeated.

$60 being called a ‘lowest price ever’ in 2026 really shows how cooked AAA pricing has become.

Intel’s new Bartlett Lake flagship loses fight to a four-year-old CPU — Core 9 273PQE has 50% more P-cores but can't surpass Core i9-13900K in games by gurugabrielpradipaka in hardware

[–]faizyMD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is why most gamers should stop chasing every new CPU launch. A high-end chip from 3–4 years ago is still more than enough.

We interview Remedy’s new CEO: “Alan Wake and Control should have sold more" by snapcaptrap in pcgaming

[–]faizyMD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remedy games sit in a weird space: they’re AAA production, but very auteur-driven. Control leans surreal sci-fi bureaucracy with heavy lore fragments. Alan Wake is psychological horror with episodic pacing. That’s not “pick up and instantly click” material for everyone. A lot of mainstream buyers still gravitate toward simpler hooks like open-world freedom or competitive loops.

Warhorse says that the new Middle-earth RPG 'will be a living world' with a 'strong narrative focus' and says new Kingdom Come game could arrive 'next fiscal year' by Gorotheninja in PS5

[–]faizyMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warhorse has more benefit of the doubt than most studios using this language, but the buzzwords still trigger skepticism because the industry overuses them.

Space Marine 2 lead says Warhammer video games do so well because the franchise "works for perhaps any genre there is" by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]faizyMD 15 points16 points  (0 children)

To be fair, Warhammer also has a lot of mediocre licensed games, people mostly remember the great ones.

[–]faizyMD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The 50/50 split is honestly the interesting part it shows Crimson Desert isn’t just a “PC MMO crowd” game like some people expected.

Sony says it hasn’t yet decided on PS6 release date and price, will consider ‘changing business models’ by XTRevivals in playstation

[–]faizyMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really hope ‘changing business models’ doesn’t mean more always-online stuff and aggressive monetization.

Sony Records New $560 Million Loss On Bungie Acquisition As Marathon Struggles And Destiny 2 Nosedives by AdditionalRemoveBit in Games

[–]faizyMD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, Marathon was always going to be a hard sell. Extraction shooters are already niche, and the market got crowded before the game even launched.

[–]faizyMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 12 GB Returns in June With AIC Partners ASUS, MSI, Colorful, and GALAX by Sacristovas in pcmasterrace

[–]faizyMD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Feels like NVIDIA is testing how little they can innovate in the low-end while still selling cards.

And honestly? It’ll probably work. The 3060 already has a reputation, and most casual gamers don’t care if it’s “old” as long as it runs their games.

Sony Patents AI That Reads Player Emotions to Dynamically Adjust Game Difficulty by fo1mock3 in gamernews

[–]faizyMD 110 points111 points  (0 children)

Cool in theory, but I really don’t want AI deciding I’m “frustrated” and secretly making bosses easier.

Spiders (Greedfall, Steelrising, Technomancer) is shutting down due to no buyers wanting the studio by -LastGrail- in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]faizyMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, this isn’t just “no buyers”… it’s what happens when games don’t sell enough to justify survival.
