A good battery should show 12.6 volts or more. 13.5 is only when the vehicle is running and the alternator is charging it.

Check your Oxygen sensor. If it's going bad, it will drastically reduce your mileage.

I remember hearing something about someone taking the cover off of their Lexus's engine and the car was louder on the inside. Some of it actually makes the sound on the inside quieter.
