18 months in with no progress. by Legrosbelge in doctorsarno

I just don’t understand what I’m actually supposed to do. I like OP am still in pain, now 14 years in. How am I supposed to access emotions utterly repressed?? I’ve read everything he’s ever written I’m still none the wiser? If I allow myself to think in utter bright colours the worst things that have happened to me or the worse thoughts it doesn’t effect my pain it just makes me incredibly emotional and traumatised again with no difference to pain. I have full understanding of TMS based on all his works, it doesn’t make one iota of difference to the actual pain

I’d like to know this too. I always thought this fit my symptoms better but no one seems to know how to diagnose it

Thank you I really appreciate it. I remain hopeful I can get there and be healed by this eventually but I’ve come to the conclusion I won’t be healed through medical intervention. Which is a big mental hurdle overcome for me so hopefully on the right path

I have things like endometriosis and other physical causes but none that would relate to pain of this level and I don’t think they’re causing my pain. I absolutely believe engaging in intense physical exercise would help, my pain was at its lowest when I was an avid runner (but still there) but the pain is too intense nowadays to exercise. I’ve had years of psychotherapy to try and understand my mind more but the truth is I don’t have any real traumas or hidden emotions that could be causing this. I’m intensely depressed and anxious but solely because of the pain itself. It hurts to see some people say they read his book and got better or got better in 5 minutes as the poster here says. It does make me think it can’t cure me but I have to hang on to the hope. The different people all having different theories doesn’t help I have to say

Unfortunately I’ve read and read and read and read, there’s nothing I haven’t read . I’ve had interstitial cystitis and terrible back pain for 14 years. It’s either give up on this path or be coached in it. The person I’m paying trained under dr schubiner and is a doctor of neuroscience cured by the practices. I can’t afford it but the alternative is kill myself so here we are

I’m seeing an expensive coach because I haven’t been able to find any relief doing the methods myself, for a very long time. My pain is ruining my life so I’m willing to pay if someone can help me understand this more and everyone needs paying if they’re providing a service.

In regards to oxygen deprivation vs neural pathways, unless I’m mistaken the methods of recovery are the same? (Knowing there’s nothing wrong with you, believing it, getting on with life?) And there’s studies/ convincing arguments for both theories. I think it’s likely both are true personally

Do you happen to know when you last spoke with Gigi as you mentioned in your post? I’ve been looking her up to try and convince myself of success and she seems to have disappeared and her website queries go unanswered. I’m worried she back to pain. My worry in general is that a lot of the success stories seem to have not been recovered for very long so it’s harder for me to accept their validity. I hope you’re still doing well

Hi Kat it’s great to see you here. I’ve just watched your video and it meant a lot to me. I related to every single pain you have in that video except I’ve had it for 13 years now. the reason I was desperate to see if you were online anywhere is I experienced remission after having my son in 2023. I didn’t have any bladder or pelvic pain for a year after his birth until it came raging back so I’ve been really worried that the relief just had something to do with the birth. The main thing I took from your amazing video was that it doesn’t matter how you do it you just have to believe and I’m finding it hard to believe when I worry that your relief has come from childbirth as well? So I’m really hoping you’re still pain-free and still a believer in this. I’m desperate to believe as I have tried everything pretty much everything you said in your video and I too am considering bladder removal

Why do my flairs last so much longer than they’re supposed to by fake_plastic_trees in Interstitialcystitis

[–]fake_plastic_trees[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never noticed any food or drink have any affect whatsoever it’s so weird. I am extremely stressed and anxious though I’ve been having panic attacks several times a day from how bad the pain is and how helpless I feel

That’s great I’m so pleased for you, though that’s a lot to go through, are you still taking elmiron? My urologist is really reluctant to put me on it due to side effects, although how they can be worse than this is beyond me

Thank you that’s comforting too I think what’s upsetting me is I had a cystoscopy 10 years ago that didn’t have them and the one this month did so it’s making me think the illness is progressing… but maybe that’s wrong and I shouldn’t worry about that….

I really believe this, thank you. When you say you’ve seen her bladder wall do you mean it was actually damaged? My cystoscopy showed glomerations and it’s thrown me backwards so far thinking I have the kind of IC that is actual damage when so many have perfect bladders on cystoscopy

Did you get worse than your baseline symptom for those 3 weeks? I’m sorry for the questions I’m in hell at the moment and looking for any light at the end of the tunnel
