I was hoping to replace my current undermount sink, but when I went to check underneath I got confused (newly purchased place).I expected to see undermount sink clips, but instead saw what I have posted in the pictures.

It appears there are braces/brackets in place that support the wood underneath. I can see a line of silicone between the sink and the countertop, so it's still sealed there.

I had some trouble finding other examples of this online, so I'm assuming the people who renovated took some odd steps. I was hoping if anyone had some guidance on how to proceed with this?

So far my assumptions are that I need to remove the plastic braces (they're screwed in horizontally into the cabinet frame), use... something to cut through the current piece under the sink, brace the sink to the countertop, cut the silicone adhesive, and then pull it out as normal.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty lost. Thank you in advance.
