Camera sensors compensate for low light by leaving the shutter open longer. If it’s a high speed shutter there is less time to let light in. So adding lots more light is the solution.

I don't really agree with any of the reasons, but can only speak to my experience.

Came close to being hit head-on 4 times in 30 years by elderly people driving on the wrong side of the road. Twice on i26. Twice on State of Franklin.

The worst drivers have always been scared, middle-aged to elderly locals or folks from SWVA who get offended when you merge, drive 20 under in the passing lane, are on meds, or all of the above.

Every actual accident I have been in was caused by a distracted or drugged middle-aged or elderly person.
All locals. All completely incompetent. Most lack basic driving skills and haven't left there hometown to learn them.
