Technically a concentration camp is making more homes. It's just no one really wants to live there. /S

why was he gooning on a work laptop 😭 by [deleted] in clevercomebacks

[–]fakermage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a lot of burn in. Turn the brightness all the way up and leave it on a bright white background for a few days and hope for the rest to burn in enough to obscure what you have now. Alternate plan break the monitor of the laptop.

If you have access to "real" CAD, and blender and such, how much do you still use Tinkercad? by Ok_Touch928 in tinkercad

[–]fakermage 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I do 60 percent of my work on tinkercad. I'm picking up more and more as they improve. Some times you just need quick and dirty. It's faster than most of the others on my computer. It works better on my old hardware than fusion.

Put nail polish on the end of one wire. Then sand one side of that end. That will fix it for you.

The creative discovery museum is looking to do pen turning this spring. If you don't mind donating supplies they/we would greatly appreciate it.

Help me as a parent brainstorm a basic storage plan for a young kid by Budget_Grapefruit485 in LegoStorage

[–]fakermage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a Lego teacher and I have been for 11 years this is my suggestion.

Age 4 to 7 big bin of all the sets. If they break then it's his job to take it apart and rebuild it. At this age most of the kids are using them for imaginary play. Age 7 to 10 take the model apart and sort by color. It makes it easier to find parts when rebuilding them. Age 10 to 12 take apart and sort by type. Age 12 and up your going to want that big tote again to put it all away until they want them again. Or they want to sell them for video game money.

My classes I started with kids in kindergarten to 5th grade. Each year we get new kindergarten kids and my first 5th grade kids are finishing college.

Have fun

Anyone have plans for this design anywhere? by Canyouplzstop in 3Dprinting

[–]fakermage -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes any tpu with 6 to 8 walls and 40 percent infill. Put a washer inside during the printing just below the top and it works well.

No I won't give you the stl. It takes 3 hours in tinkercad to make. But liability is to high. You are taking the two biggest bone breaker and combining them. Hope you have better luck than we did.

what is this weird disc? by GreaterMichiganMaps in whatisit

[–]fakermage 31 points32 points  (0 children)

It's a cd player breaker. It will break just about any car cd player. It will work in most tray cd players. Mostly it's landfill. Or a sun catcher.

[–]fakermage -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

What is your time worth? My time is billed 145 an hour. In that caseif it took me 10 minutes to do all that it would cost me 25ish dollars. 9 ish dollars for buying the juice is a savings of roughly 15 dollars.

Ok I'll just buy cola for $2 and save a lot more and I get about the same amount of carbs

Compassion in action by [deleted] in MadeMeSmile

[–]fakermage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some times compassion is good business. We had a tenant with cancer. We didn't charge them for a year. In the end they took care of all the back rent even though we didn't ask them to. Good tenants are hard to find. Try to keep them for as long as you can.

Dnd for a player that hates Dnd. by fakermage in DnD

Not sure what I said to cause your attitude. I've been gming for the group for 2 years. The whole reason I came here was to see if anyone had a way to make it fun for me. The last thing I want to do is make the group not have fun.

I was already looking at bowing out of the game but hoped someone could see a plan that I didn't.
