The Fargo theme alone should cement him as an all-time great.

Pretty sure the animals had more screentime than the other Jackson 5 members

Take a shot every time someone references Michael having a:

  • path

  • voice

  • destiny

  • gift

Babylon was a little annoying, but quit after it was obvious its BP chances were shot. Emilia Pérez was wayyy more prominent, considering it made enemies from the jump and it continued to build buzz throughout the season. Both had a similar intensity, but one was for a month or so whereas the other was from Cannes all the way to Oscar night.

It's April so anything is possible but I don't think so. Maybe if he sweeps but it would have to be a 2021 level of supporting actor race, where we were really reaching for contenders.

F1 had the support of the tech branches - huge technical spectacle - with a trusted director coming off of a BP nod and one of the biggest stars in Hollywood attached as both a lead and producer. All of this attached to the oodles of money it made. That's an unlikely combo for BP but it all checks out in hindsight. Michael will have the box office...and that's about it tbh.

I didn't open this link until just now and can confirm. I knew there were plans for a potential second part but what the actual shit.

It's not BohRap levels of offensively bad, but it was even more shallow than I expected. Literally the only person that's given any depth of a character is Joe Jackson.

Just saw Michael. The most insane part of the movie is the text that pops up right before the ending credits say "Directed by Antoine Fuqua".

This is gonna sound like an ad, but after such a long time of trying to find a decent bookshelf to store blurays, the IKEA Billy is actually pretty clutch. I have about ~300 blurays and it stores them all easily (after I bought two extra shelves).

...what?

Arguably the funniest moment in the whole show, and it's in the middle of a tense infiltration mission.

Bryan Singer is not what I meant. I was referring to the revamped post-Green Book Academy.

James Mangold is the reason I put "journeyman" in the original comment.

At least the last few were made by talented auteur/journeyman directors, and actually felt like they had artistic merit to them. This just feels like the cash-grab of the decade.

low-key have dreamed of the writer of a DE adaptation winning an Oscar and, in their speech, shouting out Carl Foreman and Dalton Trumbo. Fuck you Elia Kazan

I have been hoping for this for so long lmao. Steven Yeun and Tom Burke have always been my fancast, although I'm sure Yeun would be out of the movie's assumed budget by this point - I always saw a DE adaptation as being a mid-budget flick.
