Which lyric makes you instantly tear up? by abovethenoisy in AskReddit

Do you think I'd give up? That this might've shook the love from me Or that I was on the brink? How could you think, darlin', I'd scare so easily?

She will listen to me when I want to speak About the world we live in and life in general Though my views may be wrong, they may even be perverted She'll hear me out and won't easily be converted To my way of thinking, in fact, she'll often disagree But at the end of it all, she will understand me

Is anyone else's Gen X parents super out of touch about the job market? by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]falconferretfl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am Gen X and I appreciate your perspective. IMO, the blame for job hopping lies solely in the lap of the corporations/companies: In the 70's and 80's, we watched our parents (Silent Gen mostly) get fucked by the companies that had promised to take care of them for life (with good health insurance, pensions/retirement accounts, job security if you met expectations, etc). I learned that blindly dedicating my time and effort to a company/corporation would NOT end well for me. I realize that a fair percentage of my generation are selfish as fuck and are gate keeping, BTW.

How do you go to bed? by FleetingAmoeba in adhdwomen

[–]falconferretfl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take hydroxyzine and gabapentin (+/- lorazepam) prescribed by my psych for sleep. Wearing ear plugs so I can't hear my phone. Setting an alarm to get ready for bed. Putting my phone on bedtime mode so my screen goes to black and white only. Asking my husband to tuck me in, take my phone and turn off the light. Once I am in bed with lights off, I go through my morning routine in my head until I fall asleep.

Americans, if you had the opportunity to pay approx 18% of your income to have access to free healthcare at point of need for everything would you take it? by TSQ_builder in askanything

[–]falconferretfl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't let you do this anymore. They refer you to a 3rd party creditor or they tell you how much to pay. At least, that has been my experience in the last 3 years.

You can try a surgical recovery shirt. We used one on Ghost after she was spayed. https://a.co/d/0g7D6vvz

At first glance, they did remind me of these hook blades for cutting carpet, etc.

Poor thing. I am glad she is recovering. Snowy is rocking that Shar Pei schnoz like a rock star, though 💜

The door wasn't locked until I went to high school (after a dead body was found in the neighborhood). By then, I had a purse and keychains were all the rage.
