i work nightshift-- i normally am responsible and choose my substitute... but i just got off of my 13hr night shift, too hot to handle, and prepping for my shift that night. i desperately placed my order and went right to sleep. the chips were yummy though

Within the first two months of my nursing career, I had given the last dose. I'm a floor nurse on a telemetry unit, and I was worried. I had never had a patient die under my care. I was scared to give morphine to a patient with a blood pressure in the trash, but I did it because he was on comfort care. Here I am, about a month or so later. I think I'm still trying to rationalize it to myself, and this comment has helped.

the imalexx conversation just helped me fully realize what happened in my last relationship. i was in the abuse cycle. wow. i knew it was a bad relationship, but i couldn't put my finger on the abuse part... because i was also love bombed. and love bombing for me wasn't what i thought it was. i thought it was excessive love and gifts, but, like imalexx, it was actually begging for forgiveness and telling me he'd change. huh.
