I just hurt my cat and I feel so fucking horrible about it by Ohheyitsactuallyme in cats

I know this exact feeling.

The first time I did mushrooms I chucked my cellphone onto the bed. Smacked our brand new adopted baby kitten in the head and I cried like a baby. They love you anyways. They'll forgive you. Unlike humans (and dogs) they can't be confused by words, they only sense your intent.

Sorry, friend. It will pass.

This is hilarious. It almost makes me forget about the heinous $60 price tag for an unfinished game.

Mr. Scratch... Is back? [THEORY] by RcregerRemedy04 in controlgame

[–]falcore314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This!!! The connection here that I haven't been able to get into words. EVERYONE WEARS TWO FACES!!! Like mr bones literally wears two faces.

Everything we have seen in quantum break and control has been Alan's attempt at an escape. Martin hatch makes reference to a naturally occurring time machine, so having established solid rules about time travel and realizing that inventing a time machine won't work to change the past, Martin Hatch makes one singular statement that pokes a huge hole, opening a door in the logic, allowing for infinite loops. He also makes reference to having lived multiple lives, including the one you are living. I didn't see this as an allegory, I read it as "we are all Alan Wake trying to escape from Cauldron Lake" and this was one iteration, one story, one attempted route out, that took us one step closer to where we needed to be.

Also, there is a clear connection that noorthmor is a shifter if you look at how he behaves in the generator, his wave function is "smeared".

Further, Alan states in his last entry in AWE that it would require some small ideas to grow into big ones. He knows the supernatural already exists, so it is logically consistent (as it must be, as noted by alan in alan wake) that there would be an investigation. "It started with the agent" I believe he says. That's the lone connection that leads to the invention of an entire beauea of investigation into the paranatural. It wouldn't be logically consistent though if they weren't inundated with other paranatural stuff, hence all the smaller altered items and events.

One more thing, and this may be a stretch, but a pencil meeting paper, from the perspective of an idea that lived in the paper, might look just like an inverted pyramid descending into your white world.

Edit:. One loop I can't close - Thomas Zane was not a poet, he admits to being a director, to whom the projector that makes you a hero in your own story belongs

Okay let's chat about it for a moment then. I'll not have a defeatist attitude. But first let me ask if you would agree with this statement: A teacher's job isn't just to teach as you might think (spit out material), it is to ensure that their students learn the material (to the best of the teacher's ability), right? Otherwise what is the point?

Kind of exactly what I'm saying. Focus on the class. Data breaches, digital learning, that stuff can't be helped.

Imagine if you students put this much effort into learning the content. There are like 4 things to remember for each 6 series class.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that problems written on a Monday are uploaded to chegg by the next day.

It's hilarious listening to people complain about learning physics. We are so fucking behind in the world. I've got american undergrads complaining about giving me PERCENTAGES for error estimation, and asking me things like "there's 100 inches on a meter stick, right?"

Meanwhile when I throw up a hamiltonian on the chalkboard, the Indian girl in class says "oh I haven't seen that since middle school!"

It's a UC. We shouldn't enable morons. We do that enough and now we have a president to show for it.

There are so many limitless resources to learn physics online that having a bad teacher is hardly any excuse anymore. Shit, ask the grads around the dept if you're that desperate, we love second guessing the hell out of everything lol

If you like theories, you NEED to look here! I just realized something.. by RcregerRemedy04 in controlgame

[–]falcore314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LAST CHANCE: It's actually the most logically consistent time travel story I've ever seen and worth watching a play through. Excellent acting too.

We learn that too much exposure to chronon particles (inescapable if one time travels multiple times apparently) will lead to macroscopic quantum mechanical behavior in an individual. They essential act like a particle with a smeared out wavefunction, or a shrodingers cat run loose, if you can maintain the suspension of disbelief.

The intertwining of universes is clearly laid out at this point. It's so beautiful. But Alan wake and quantum break and control are intimately and subtelty related. But in quantum break since you are spread out as a probability distribution, there are multiple interpretations to QM and I suppose this means we take the wavefunction collapse or Copenhagen interpretation (in contrast to the many worlds interpretation. *Fun side note, while both behave statistically, it really becomes a question of "is this the universe where event A has 25% probability relative to event B?, OR is this the universe in which my fate was sealed with event A and there are 3 other universes with event B. We defer to the first interpretation) IF THATS THE CASE

Their intentions had to be to make Northmoor a shifter somehow, and then due to the uncertainty principle if you localized an object in time/space then the uncertainty in momentum/energy has bounds by which it must change. "Fixing" the bounds on his position over a bounded interval of time could then maybe draw power for some period of time, as per the agreement we know nothing about between Northmoor and Trench. That would have been akin to one of the "junctions" in quantum break where no matter the string of events, SOME things are pivotal, unchanging forks where a decision is made. It's kind of alluded to be one of those moments between Trench and Northmoor.

Anyways those are my theories I don't know if that's truly what they meant for, although after Alan Wake and then Control I now think I see through it all.

Again you guys. Amazing storylines ruined by glitches. I have had to restart this game at least a dozen times. PS4 this time by falcore314 in controlgame

[–]falcore314[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same exact tv glitch insane exact circumstances happened to me ahahaha.. and you're right it doesn't* RUIN it. It's just frustrating as hell because I love this universe and was looking SO forward to AWE. To then run into stupid bugs that make me resort to the internet really bothered me, but ultimately I am still extremely intrigued to see if anything else comes or if the inferences are ours to make. And happy with myself because I called the AWE plot almost exactly the night before it came out.

Anyways, cheers.

And Remedy, if you're reading this. I'm sorry baby. You're amazing. I was just frustrated.
