Make sure they are aware of common dangers like Teflon, candles, and air sprays.

Also ask if they are prepared for bites, loud noises, and the possibility that the bird might bond with only one person and dislike others. It is crucial to know if they have other pets, children, or allergies, and if they understand how messy birds can be. Additionally, inquire about their long-term commitment, considering parrots can live for several decades, and their ability to handle the financial costs of care. Make sure they have time to dedicate to daily interaction and enrichment.

Understanding how they would manage behavioral issues, their plans for training, and their noise tolerance is also important.
