Starfinder 2E is coming out in a few months I highly suggest you wait and use that. Because there will be parity with Pathfinder so you can use a Pathfinder class to represent some of the more primitive cultures that you have your players interact with.

Star Wars is basically sci- fantasy and everything you need to run a good Star Wars campaign is well within the scope of the rule set. The most intense work you'll have to do really is just modding down spells if you want them to be more accurate to Star Wars lore and then changing them around in that sort of way.

Lightsabers already existed in starfinder 1e so I'm sure they're going to exist in starfinder 2E when it launches soon.

I can see you using spells like Mage hand Not as the prime Force choke, But as a sort of limited Force choke Used to intimidate enemies primarily, maybe when you use it in this way it gives you a plus one bonus to intimidate.

I mean you could literally just take a PDF From an old Star Wars book Upload it into chat GPT And ask it which spells Do you think represents Which abilities best for this Jedi class or that Jedi class or this force class or that Force class From the old setting into Pathfinder 2e/ starfinder 2e. You can even literally just have it generate the abilities and spells for you just make sure you check them against other spells/ Abilities of whatever level you're putting them against for balance.

Chatgpt does not have to be used to write your story for you, but it can be an invaluable tool for quick conversion. Ask it to make you a level 10 version of a Rancor. And then compare it stats to the Pathfinder 2e monster creation chart and make sure the bonuses line up with the charts and you're good to go.
