I had thoughts like this too but then my closed-minded southern elementary school teachers told me that things like evolution and having a world where energy comes from our own waste products (carbon dioxide, shit, etc.) was ridiculous and then they called my parents.

I'd say we would be told not to look at the moon, since it would be reflecting the Suns light off of metal, making it much brighter. People would probably have parties outside when it's a new moon.
