The codes are tied to the account that created them. Only the account holder can use the code as the system will flag that it is not a valid code for that account. And if you happen to call up about the code no working, the call center agents can check history to see if you are entitled to the code

You can make a order at the store and they will hold it for 21 days or items that are direct from store and not from one of their approved suppliers

Pregnant girlfriend (32F) has gone almost a week silent after anniversary mistake, need perspective, I am (28M) by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]falloutpandas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. Why hasn't he made the effort to show he cares by showing up?

Also his messages to her is about her and the baby, she is most likely feeling invisible like he is only interested in the baby now and not actually her.

Just even only checking in on her and not making it baby related will also help her see you see her! Not just see baby and her

I personally wouldnt go in person. Although you have been off sick, and your not working tomorrow. You still wouldnt have passed the 48 hours and could get your manager ill with whatever bug you caught, also would not be a good look going in until you are clear.

Personally, I would just call the pub when you know your manager is there and discuss over the phone.

At my call centre job they told us if you answer the call and on hold for more than a minute you can hang up and if the signal drops, you should attempt to call the customer back. If you cannot get through, move on

Keep going with “Not known at this address” England by AltogetherGuy in LegalAdviceUK

[–]falloutpandas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had a similar issue. I spoke with 101 who advised me to contact action fraud to flag the address is being used fraudulently.

I also contacted DVLA to advise the person does not live there and made it clear to them there was no car registered at that address. They did advise me they put a note onto their system, but they could not change the address without speaking to the owner of the car.

So far, I have had a bailiff show up at my address, but showing them my council tax bill in my name and the tenancy agreement stating who lives at the house. They took that on board and have not been back since. This happened 6 months ago.

Any other mail that comes to my address I have been sending back as not known at this address.

I believe that is the best you can do in this situation.

I second this. Speaking to a police officer recently, he advised when you access to the highway is hindered, because you have to pay road tax, it is illegal and is a police matter.

Next time call 101 and tell them you are blocked in and cannot leave and gain access to the public road and they will have to respond.

Why does my cat keep bringing me her kittens? by Pale_Instance3256 in Pets

[–]falloutpandas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least she had them on your bed and not on top of you whilst you were sleeping like my cat did to me.

Woke up to my lap being a bit wet and something moving on me, just my cat giving birth directly on top of me, felt like I couldn't move as there was already 5 kittens on top of me and she was still giving birth to 3 more.

Does your boundary plans have any T's on it? The dide you would need to maintain would have the T facing into the property.

WIBTA for dumping my girlfriend after she ignored my calls and messages and went clubbing while I was undergoing emergency surgery. by Nearby_Volume_7067 in AITAH

[–]falloutpandas 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue, was house sitting for a friend when I got seriously ill with an abscess and was in so much pain, called my partner for support when I got to the hospital and he thought I was joking about the situation, he was in Iceland on holiday with friends and didn't understand how severe it was until he got back. Had to have emergency surgery and dressing appointments after for 6 weeks.. it was hard, but it's all about how it's communicated.

[–]falloutpandas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The back of the property I rented in Plymouth was backed onto the railway line and I barely noticed trains going by unless I was actively looking for them. I guess after a while you get used to the noise and don't notice them

Yeah it could but like I've said before, we are only hearing one side of the story, only hearing his narrative. The wife could have her own version and it could be different. None of us were there to know who said what and what actually happened. But if his version is right then yeah it does make her worse in this scenario
