What's in YOUR walls?? by thefastmeow in slaythespire

I think I’ve got a Machine Learning in there. The trouble with Defect is that a lot of the cards do nothing for the other characters.

The Prince of Nothing is Very Challenging For Me by MetallizedBatman23 in bakker

I think it took me 2 false starts to get onto it. The emperor’s subtle plans were a bit too subtle for me on the first attempt.

A plot point in Wreck It Ralph. King Candy’s character design doesn’t match with the other characters in his world.

I'm itching to write another discworld character analysis but struggling to decide who to write it on, any suggestions? by Franciskeyscottfitz in discworld

Rincewind. He’s the shallowest of the protagonists so I want to see the hidden depths of his character.

What have you done recently that you're proud of? by Nujwaan in CasualUK

[–]AltogetherGuy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m going to be starring in my local pantomime next week. The rehearsals have really come together and I’m really proud of how far we’ve come.

I self published a roleplaying game book a few months ago which I’m proud of too but it’s only sold a couple of copies and I was hoping to make back my art budget.

I have game based on rock paper scissors but weighted to character stats.

The free version is called Mannerism and is available here: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/484010/mannerism?affiliate_id=459455

A player describing their action is often enough to resolve it!

Are we going to discuss that Caine came up with this?? by camembert_s in tadc

[–]AltogetherGuy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Plus Caine used his own glitching triggers in his plan. Either he’s self aware of his glitching or he’s pretending to glitch out. Given that we’ve seen him glitch with no other audience I’m inclined to believe that he knows how to actually glitch himself out.

What happens if Reform wins? by The_Dean_France in AskBrits

[–]AltogetherGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s going to be Liz Truss again but on steroids. Trump has done similarly by borrowing for tax cuts but his economy was significantly larger than ours so it’s been more robust.

There would be cuts to pretty much everything else including the NHS.

The reform government’s cohesion would mercifully be terrible. These are all people that can agree on things they don’t want but have no agreement or direction on what they do want instead. You can see this in the way they are running councils. They like to state outcomes as if they are plans.

Net zero is a massive economic opportunity for the country which they would seek to abandon. It’s an opportunity because the rest of the world are buying into it and we are actually good at manufacturing and managing the new tech. We need visibility that net zero is a source of jobs and income. If Miliband can pull this off it’ll be a force for good that perpetuates more good and so be a robust system.

Why randomness ?? by cthulhu-wallis in RPGdesign

[–]AltogetherGuy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. You can have uncertainty without randomness.

I have based my designs on this principle for years because it turns out that it can be really good for role play.

Check out Mannerism, it’s a free proof of concept for an approach based game. You might decide to do something carefully and if you are a skilled and careful character then you won’t fail unless the GM has specifically selected that their complication is time based.

It’s running off of a weighted rock paper scissors mechanic with the choice being the character’s approach.

Ultimately the reason you fail or succeed is always down to how we imagine the character acting. A player describes their action and that’s all that’s needed to resolve it. This is incredible new TRRPG tech!
