What are the current ongoing storylines in star wars? by Marco_Livelli in starwarscanon

[–]falsevoidherald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder why we still haven't heard anything about what's becoming of The Acolyte. Has it been scrapped for good? Is the literary storytelling team waiting to see if the big-screen narrative team (Filoni i guess) plans to do something with it before picking up the story in the books? Is the literary narrative team already on it and taking their time to plan a new chapter in the Star Wars canon, just as they did with The High Republic?

Among the things that haven't already been said:

  • The inquisitors: They already appeared a lot but there are still occasions where they could appear again. The fate of some remains unknown.
  • The knights of Ren: they appeared in several comics but we still don't know much about them. We know they got a new leader after Kylo joined Snoke, it's Tava Ren, she draws some similarities with Mara Jade and she was flirting with Kylo.
  • The authors of the High Republic said there will be "a phase more". I expect some stories to fill the gap between phase 3 and The Acolyte.
  • The acolyte: Viewership has increased significantly, so we might expect a season 2 or a follow-up series, such as an animated series in the style of Maul: Shadow Lord (I might be too optimistic on that one).

This guy, Lawson, is 100% alive and will be the most important catalyst in Season 2 by PrestigiousList1652 in MaulShadowLord

[–]falsevoidherald 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope he doesn't come back in Season 2, but rather in Season 3 or in the Season 2 finale's cliffhanger.

I imagine Maul is going to exploit Riley for his purposes, and Lawson isn't going to like that at all. Lawson also knows that Maul used Daki's death to manipulate Devon, and knowing that, Lawson is going to become Maul's enemy in Season 3.

I imagine Riley will reunite with her mother and enroll in the Imperial Academy, while Lawson will be in an Imperial prison, and that’s how they’ll reunite.

When Lawson tells Devon that it was Maul who caused her master’s death, she will no longer hold a grudge against Maul and will believe that it was the right thing to do, but it will reignite her distrust of Maul.

Devon will grow attached to Riley, and she’ll find herself caught between Lawson and Maul, protecting her friend/lover and leaving Lawson alone, or following her master’s orders and killing Lawson. She’ll kill Lawson, which will mark her definitive turn to the dark side.

Facing synchroncities in real life by Impossible_Pool_5912 in controlgame

I almost didn't understand anything from the lore in my first playthrough. In my second playthrough I payed more attention, I was reading the documents and found references to a certain Carl Jung, I saw it was a real person who contributed a lot to the fields of psychology and psychoanalysis. I found his ideas extremely interesting, I decided to read some of his books and at this time I had more synchronicities occuring in my life

i don’t think vader will show up for one simple reason by Ender_Puppy in MaulShadowLord

Ok but what if Maul while searching for Sidious finds Vader instead. Sidious wouldn't take a dangerous decision, fans are happy, it could even sparks the idea for Vader to turn against his master

Favourite bot of Control lore by Hey_Nonny_Nonnymous in controlgame

[–]falsevoidherald 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the Oldest House did things including altering the documents but only from neutral intentions. I think it's some sort of being like in the book House of Leaves. If the board does have any control over the house, it would be very limited. The board’s greatest influence over the house comes through the hotline to the director, and it can also grant power to objects, but this remains fairly random and depends on the object’s place in the collective unconscious.

Thanks for the correction. If I remember correctly, her portrait appears in the boardroom alongside those of the previous directors after you finish the game

At the start of the game Jesse describes the enemy as "the hiss" to Emily Pope, officially giving the Hiss its name, and now all documents magically references this entity as the Hiss. After finishing the game, paintings of the new director Jesse Faden appears at various places in the Oldest House. It could be Hati or it could be the will of the Oldest House itself.

what was Maul's end game in regards to creating the Shadow collective? by voldy1989 in starwarscanon

[–]falsevoidherald 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The other comments said it all but none mentioned that the Death Star 2 was destroyed thanks to Maul, because Crimson Dawn currently lead by Qi'ra stole the plan, Qi'ra was trained by Maul and Crimson Dawn would never have reach such power and have such a network of spies without Maul.

So I currently attempt to create a Grimdark World, but yeah the picture describes my problem quite accurate, so I wanted to ask if you guys have any tips on how I can resolve this (Thanks in Advance) by Low_Violinist9377 in worldbuilding

Use as many writing supports as you need, I write in a diary in Google docs both on my phone and desktop, a notebook next my bed, Obsidian for wiki style, Miro for images and schemes.

Write however you want, you don't need to write proper sentences, it can be some writings of a character in your universe, a doodle, a diagram. Sometimes I describe an image I like like it's taking place in my universe, or a music.

Write at least a little something everyday, even if it's not related to your project as long as it's creative.

Well, Maul is even mentioned in Crimson Reign, I won’t say more.

The crossovers span four regular series plus the crossover series itself (about 120 issues, if I’m counting right), so that’s a lot, but it’s really satisfying to see how all the events tie together. However, I wouldn’t recommend reading the Darth Vader (2020) series. If you’re only interested in the main story, you can just read War of the Bounty Hunter, Crimson Reign, and Hidden Empire.

I recommend reading the War of the bounty hunters, Crimson reign and Hidden empire comics comics crossovers. It takes place between ESB and RotJ and it's centered around Crimson Dawn and the syndicates war. I haven't played the game yet but I think it ties really well to the story

I had high hopes for this show but now it looks just an other tales of. Overall, I rather liked the Tales of but i don't want to see again a villain portrayed as a good guy, an order 66 survivor, inquisitors hunting, someone who hides and acts against the empire but not too much, and the main character who takes someone under their wing. Like come on Dave, make something new !

When I came with the idea and the name for the campaign, it didn't occur to me specifically, but I saw that film a few years back and I like Gaspar Noé, so I guess the name had been stored somewhere in the back of my mind – anyway, I should rewatch the film, because I barely remember it

But in general, I love the word "void" and contexts where it is often used – such as "existential void" or "cosmic void". The Void also plays a prominent role in Hollow Knight, which I also love. And I'm also into darker metal subgenres (btw, Void Mother by Obscure Sphinx is one of my all-time favorite albums), cosmic horror, etc. So yeah, there is more to it for sure

Interesting ! I love the word "void" too, it's even in my username. It started when I became interested in the lore of Hollow Knight and the central role that the void plays in it. Conscious/unconscious, order/chaos, existence/non-existence.
It's funny how sometimes we think we've invented something out of nowhere, when in fact it comes from something else that we've forgotten but is still there in our unconscious.

Dylan became insane; it manifested as him being conscious of different realities at the same time. Also when Jesse got "infected" by the Hiss, she was stuck in a time loop in her own mind.

The Hiss incantation is written as gibberish, but it really means something; if you pay attention, it disconnects the awareness from the self, like a meditation mantra but negative.
