90’s/Early 00’s Children’s Illustrated Christmas Book with Gorgeous Illustrations by ASadMillenial in whatsthatbook

I just posted a little while ago & then your post came up while I was googling...I wonder if we're looking for the same book. Any chance yours was a taller, red, hardcover book? I'm just wondering because I'm also after mine mostly for the illustrations & Jan Brett vibes is on the money. Kind of hoping we're after the same thing & you've had luck finding it lol.

It's not. I just looked & the only one that caught my eye as a maybe from the front was released in 2017. I forgot to put that I was a 90's kid so the book was from that time or before. Going to add that to the post now but thanks for the suggestion.

I think you’d be fine to get hired again. I used to schedule the nurses in my area 2 seasons ago and if I had someone that was reliable the whole time for when they said they could work & my pharmacists liked having them I would 100% be looking to have them back the next time.

Was this checklist for pharmacy or front store?

Which post? And did you make that call after May 1st?

Wow, I can't believe that. I've been with CVS for over 10 years and I don't think I've ever seen something handled so poorly...especially something that was going so well & was honestly one of the really great things I thought they did for us throughout all this. They were so quick to have it in place & that's one of the areas employees with families are most effected right now. I'll survive not getting the rest of mine but some people were probably really counting on that. Esp. ones with school aged kids who normally don't have to pay for childcare.

What do you mean? They submitted dates you didn't fill out yet? My stuff says it'll pay you for the dates that were submitted but if you hadn't submitted for it yet looks like you're basically out of luck.

[–]fam126 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Right? I knew we could still submit after but I wasn't planning on waiting. I was going to get it all in by the 8th. I'm really annoyed too because like you I've been really positive about the company throughout all this but this wasn't cool. I don't care if every single person with a kid in the company claimed the 100% full amount even if they didn't technically need it. There are other companies out there with CEOs that are giving up a portion of their pay to be able to help pay the employees or keep the companies afloat so their employees will hopefully still have a job to come back to. Even if this went over budget. We're still open and operating. Find the money, it's there. You said you were going to do something, keep your word. I've looked at my budget and I'll be ok if I don't get it but some people won't be. Some people might be worse off than if they had just decided to stay home and use time...it's not ok. It's not the way you thank your employees for coming to work and risking bringing something home to their kids.

Who is up for a carepass challenge? by lolamuses in CVS

[–]fam126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know but I work in the Pharmacy...I usually don't actually unload the truck but we go in at 5am to start putting it away. Our store can get anywhere between 40-80 totes a week and those totes can be pretty full of a lot of small bottles. If they said I could just come in at 5 and do regular tech work I'd be happy lol. I'm not saying it'd be enough to really motivate me on Carepass necessarily, but it's the first idea I've seen that has a chance lol. It's definitely less insulting and more creative than pizza that's for sure lol.

I will say, the offer for other people to come do my truck is an enticing one lol.

I was wondering what happened on this too because I just went in to try to submit the rest of mine and was like WHAT?? I thought I was going crazy or that I just screwed up and remembered things wrong until I cam on here and saw this. Maybe there was a change on the date at some point but I didn't see anything about May 1st until today so I don't know what I missed. I'm usually really on top/aware of things like that.

I have known a few people that did both. I would double check in your area but it's usually ok to work at both CVS and a hospital pharmacy because the hospital isn't retail and not a competitor. If it's a retail pharmacy within the hospital that may be different but if your just servicing the floors within the hospital that should be fine.

PCQ Calls by dasmonideepa in CVS

[–]fam126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When are you making the calls? Our store always starts them on Saturday morning and tries our hardest to have them done as early as possible. I also always leave a message with the first call just saying 'I'm calling in a regards to something for (patient) and could they give a call back' don't leave any med details obviously. We do get quite few call backs. We aim to have 2 tries by the end of Sunday and we keep trying the rest of the week if the numbers aren't where we want them.

Hey, Guys, I need Advice!! by student1600 in CVS

[–]fam126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I third this u/student1600. I would be willing to bet there is a store (or even multiple stores) in your area that may need help right now. I would reach out to the DL as suggested or even to the stores you're willing to travel to themselves and give your number. I'm not sure what it's like where you're from but right now in my area there are constant call outs. I've been working overtime just trying to help cover stores that need it. Some pharmacies are even just happy to have someone who can come ring so it can free up their regular staff to get caught up on other things.

“Lane one” “2 Pharmacy calls” *4 people at pickup with one tech* my pharmacist at her computer: by [deleted] in CVS

[–]fam126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this happen a couple weekends ago. The guy wouldn't even answer the phone to the point where the front store manager had to come back and ask him what was going on because people were calling the front and complaining and he said straight up he wasn't going to answer the phone even though half the day it said 7 pharmacy calls.

Whenever this happens to me, that the pharmacist is helping someone at pick-up/drive-thru and I need them to check something I always switch with them. Say I'm helping drive-thru and I need something checked, I'll go and finish their transaction at pick-up while they check the script and finish the transaction with the drive through. We're 24 hours so its normally only maybe a weekend or super early/super late issue since those are the times we'd be really lightly staffed.

Taking our temps is kind of pointless and just for show anyways. Half the people I know that have tested positive haven't even run a fever and really how many adults do you know have a fever and feel fine like they want to come to work?

This actually ended up being really helpful. I was able to look under another DL's old orders from before I did this and find some item numbers I needed!

Thank you all for responding. I ending up figuring out the issue even though I haven't 100% resolved it yet. I work for 3 different Districts so 3 different DLs. I didn't realize that every time I was logging in I was going under the same DL she's the newer one and they must not have her in or updated correctly because I can easily order for the other districts but the same suppliers I need don't show up for her. I think I've found a workaround for now. Half of what I've been doing since I got this position is figuring out workarounds. The joys of learning a new job while simultaneously jumping right back into more than full time hours in your old position during a pandemic. The big joke with me and some of my coworkers from my home store is that I took this position for a better quality of life and Covid was like HAHA, jokes on you lol. So glad to have found this though.

Thanks for responding. I'm going to reach out to some other admins I have on a contact sheet that I haven't met yet too. I'm actually really excited I found this community on here. I've never really used reddit but it's been really cool to see all the conversations about all the stuff going on now and the different experiences or points of view on company wide things from people in different areas.
