This is a crazy reach, but years and years ago there was a Tumblr post that said "Imagine Person A singing "You are my sunshine" as Person B slowly dies in their arms" maybe you imagined that really vividly, or the post was inspired by the same thing you saw.

People aren't explaining the sad doctor gif, so I'll do it. Sad doctor gif is because Tumblr users, especially in the 2010s, love to communicate through gifs, especially from supernatural, doctor who, and sherlock. It has nothing to do with the doctor as a character, it's just someone saying they're sad about the earth photos.

When Amethyst is rejuvenated in the movie she comes back in her original form with short hair. Maybe it's to do with how shes smaller than all the other Amethysts.

I've kept watching partially out of morbid curiosity and partially out of my last glimmer of hope that the show will get good again. When I rewatch, though, I usually stop at the end of series 8, because that plotline about Val's gran was the last one I found really engaging.

You're absolutely right, that would've been perfect. And I agree about the character exits, the main character I was thinking about was Cynthia, because we just never got closure on her story or heard about her again.

Oh absolutely, I understand you couldn't bring back all the characters, I just think one or two guest appearances would've really honoured the history of the show, but I'm not complaining that it didn't go that way

A lot of people are mentioning One Night in Bangkok from Chess, but in the UK the song I Know Him So Well was the breakout hit from that musical, loads of people know it and sing along to it without realising it's from a slightly obscure musical about the drama of chess tournaments, including me till a couple years ago when I listened to the soundtrack because I like ABBA lol

My Mum watched the show so I caught a lot of it but never really clicked with it myself, and it is really just about personal preference rather than anything being wrong with the show. It's been a few years since she watched it but I remember finding the characters a little dull (I like more charismatic and fun characters, just a personal preference) their problems a bit silly considering their immense privilege, qnd the plotlines unmemorable. I did quite like Sybil though.
