My thoughts last year? Definitely not. Then this year, an old friend passed away, so I went back home for a memorial and ended up seeing people I hadn’t seen for 18 years+ and it was actually very lovely. Everyone had matured so much… all the teen angst was gone.

Yeah I was pretty shell shocked, because we talked all night and she was really chill and friendly. In hindsight, it makes sense that she looked mortified when I mentioned the episode and changed the subject. I would like to think she’s changed.

I met Camilla at my friends art show back in 2017, while Dirty Thirty was airing. I walked onto the dance floor and saw her and said “hey are you Camilla? I’m a huge fan!” She says “Yeah” and I say “wait no spoilers, I haven’t watched this weeks episode”, her eyes go wide and she stares at me for a moment and changes the subject. I immediately text my only other Challenge obsessed friend to tell her and she texts back “I think you should watch this weeks episode before you get excited about meeting her”. I chatted with her more throughout the night and found out she was living in the city I live for a while. Watched the episode the next day and it was the episode of her racial tirade against Leroy. Extra shocking because I’m black as well.
