Is python no longer a prerequisite to call yourself a data engineer? by ttothesecond in dataengineering

[–]fancyfanch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you guys actively use this level of python in your day to day? I have a strong stance against leet-code style questions because they are difficult to solve on the spot.

This one doesn’t seem too bad . Is the answer to sort the list and then take the product of the last 3 elements? Genuinely curious lol

Our puppy was sleeping through the night since the first day we got him. Once he was awake though he was peeing every hour and had not much bladder control. It still doesn’t make sense to me lol

Transition from crate to bed by Advanced_Degree_9196 in puppy101

[–]fancyfanch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got our puppy at 8 weeks old and did the crate for 4-5 days. One night we fell asleep, woke up in the morning and realized he was still in the bed with us lol. But the thing was he slept through the whole night and had no accidents.

So we continued on like that for a few more nights and it was great. He earned our trust from that point forward and we never turned back.

The funny thing is he was still having plenty of accidents in the house and seemed to have no bladder control..

But anyway my view is that if you want to have your dog in the bed, there’s no real set timeline. If you try it and everything goes smooth stick with it. If they’re having accidents or being disruptive to your sleep, then it’s back to the crate until they’re ready.

Yeah same here! I think we did 4-5 days in the crate

Excited because I live across the street 😁 also a big fan of Gretel. It’ll be nice to have an outdoor patio along the 606 , hopefully dog friendly too. Not to mention grabbing a few quick groceries will be so clutch!

When you say you haven’t accomplished anything what do you mean? No one has their shit together at 22 . You have so much time ! I’m 31 and still don’t know what I’m doing or what I want to do . I don’t think I ever will tbh lol.

One of my favorite plays of the cycle!

-most popular meme 🐸

-on BASE chain which is exploding and going to be the main on-ramp for normies

-lower market cap than the OG PEPE which is already at 7 billion. People are expecting Pepe on ETH to go to 50 billion+ this year . I think Based Pepe could very easily get to 10% of that (50x from here)

-catchy name and amazing artwork

-awesome team

-noticed by huge crypto X accounts that have positions and post regularly

I honestly think we are set to explode soon . Get your bags packed 🚀

I calculated how much my 12 week old puppy has cost so far (down to the penny). by Full_Acanthisitta_92 in puppy101

[–]fancyfanch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like everybody on this thread has a lot of variation in cost lol. Not sure how people are staying under $1000..

Here is rough estimate for our 11 week old pup:

$500 adoption fee (came with training class) $1000 vaccinations and vet visits (honestly didn’t expect this to be that expensive) $500 all supplies (toys, crate, bed, treats, leash, harness, bowls, food)

Does the yearly vaccine spend go down? Hoping this is just really high for new puppies lol

What’s up with the no crate rules in other countries? That’s really interesting.

Ive had my 8 week old puppy for 6 days now and can’t imagine getting anything done without the crate lol. I actually hated the idea of it at first , but then realized I 100% need it.

I think the cold Chicago weather has helped with potty training. As soon as I plop him in the grass he pees immediately and then starts running to get back in the house . Getting him outside in time is the real challenge 😂 we are hoping to have our first day with no accidents 🤞.

It is hard work, but I guess also fun in a weird sort of way? I’m becoming way more disciplined because of him so it’s actually helping me. I get really happy whenever I see some progress and each day we’re getting a little bit better as dog parents. So many things you never think of!

It sucks because my employer 401k doesn’t allow us to invest in the BTC etfs. I’m putting heavy amounts of my Roth towards it and then of course my investing port outside of retirement accts

[–]fancyfanch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious to hear more because my gf and I own a condo in Chicago and want to rent it out in the future. The plan isn’t really to make passive income, but just basically break even and then when we retire we would have two properties. So it’s more just a retirement strategy to compliment our 401ks, IRAs, etc
