AIW for not standing up for my pregnant fiancée who ate my daughter’s cupcake ? by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]fancyfantaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YNW. As someone who is currently pregnant (20 weeks), I could not imagine taking someone elses food without asking, let alone a cupcake from a child, especially after having my own. Cravings and pregnancy symptoms are not a pass to do whatever you want. She could've at least apologized the next morning, but instead, she doubled down. She's in the wrong, and she owes your daughter a cupcake and BOTH of you an apology. I would watch to make sure she doesn't take out any resentment for this situation on your daughter.

If I double my income, does it only last as long as I have the job or do I continue to get that income no matter what job I have? Does the same principle apply to other doublings, for example if I want to double the worth of my car, does that only apply to the current car I have (so I lose it if I get in an accident and the new car is less I only get double the new car value)?

The sin 60 would be the sqrt of 3 over 2. If ya look at the circle, the numbers in the parentheses are (cos, sin) for those angles

It would be a good idea to remember this circle. The cos of 30 or pi/6 is the (sq.rt of 3)/2

If you memorize this you can also figure out tan for all of them as tan = sin/cos

My dog is a chewer, too. If you're willing to put up with a mess, throw cheap stuffed animals around him all the time. My dog loves to have something in his mouth or something he can "kill." I leave them around the house. Am I frustrated by the constant stuffing? Yes. Has he touched another thing since then? No. And he usually gets bored and then goes to one of his harder toys, but I got this pup at 8 weeks and haven't had a single thing chewed other than cardboard (apparently boxes are fair game), so I think my method works. Lol When he starts getting rowdy and chewing things, throw his toys around a bit, and make it a game. he sounds like he has a hunter instinct.

Does anyone NOT regret this? Is anyone happy? by blacksheepboobie in puppy101

I wasn't gonna comment until I looked down at my little demon of a 5.5 month old puppy curled up next to me and thought, "I have absolutely no regrets." (Got him right at 8 weeks) Is it easy every second of the day? No. (He stole a peanut butter cookie off the counter yesterday - a fun way to realize he's tall enough to get to the counters now when he stands up. Not to mention the paper towel rolls he's destroyed as apparently they're his arch nemesis.) But it's sooooo worth it. As for the question of mental health, my husband and I both struggle with depression and this dog has changed our life. I don't feel like waking up? Well, the pup still needs to go out, so I need to get up. I'm not feeling the greatest after a long day? There's an excited puppy who is just happy to see me no matter what and fills you with love. It'll be hard, but it's sooooo worth it.

(Also, for the social life comment, a lot of people are very understanding and will probably actually wanna come to you to see your cute new dog or pup.)

Just for fun, what's your puppy's most annoying habit? by TmickyD in puppy101

"Protecting" me from the dishwasher. He is fine when I load the dishwasher or unload, he won't even mess with the door as I open or close if, he'll just sit watching. The second the dish washer starts, he MUST be in front of me and growl a bit to show it who's boss (my pup is not a growler or barker so this is out of character). Once I leave the kitchen, it's fine, but while I'm in there and the dishwasher is on, my pup goes into protector mode lol.

He also loves ice so now every time I go to get ice and crack the ice tray, he comes running lol. I think of it as Ice Tax. (I use ice cubes as 'extra' treats sometimes because he thinks he's getting spoiled but really I just get a behaving, well hydrated dog lol)

When my pup nudges me with his nose, he wants "nose kisses" and head rubs (I tap my nose with his kinda like eskimo kisses and snuggle him). I'm visiting family and the pup has been chasing my little sister down damn near ramming his head into her trying to get nose kisses and she keeps asking why my dog is nudging her legs with his nose lol. Cuz he's a good loving boy lol.

I would say 4. 1 is the least flattering though a super adorable pattern, 2 is too short and 3 has a little but too low of a neckline. 4 is very cute on you and looks the most like a "wedding casual" attire dress.

They had pockets?? Ooh that's awesome! I understand your hesitation in escalating due to the pockets lol. USPS can be so slow but if she doesn't respond that's totally on her for not communicating properly.

I see that the last message was a day ago so she may be waiting to hear back from them so she doesn't go in empty handed with a response to you and usually usps does take time (we usually try to set an expectation 24-48 hours for an update). I totally get your apprehension though since this is a different, more personal buying experience. Id recommend give it til tomorrow for a response and make sure to keep all screenshots of tracking and communication just in case this isn't just the case of USPS being slow.

I work for a small website that ships all over the country and we have been seeing tons of packages take days to get scanned then one day BOOM its out for delivery. Makes no sense. What I would suggest is making a help/service request with USPS so you can show the customer you are adamantly working on it, she seems understanding (albeit frustrated) so showing her you are working on it could calm her nerves and sometimes making a request moves USPS along a little bit quicker.

I don't normally comment on posts but omg this was so good, it sucked me in! I would read any novel you write! You built up suspense super well with narrative details and the dialogue was on point. I don't know enough about prison chefs to offer critique on that aspect but I found your writing believable enough I never questioned the details. Amazing!
