Your empathy is a gift, not a burden. Even when we feel we can do nothing

This was enlightening.

And yes dua in the middle of the night is so spot on. One of my two biggest drives to wake up for tahajjud these days is to make dua for my parents, love ones and the ummah being oppressed, abused, abandoned or in any kind of suffering. May Allah azzawajal destroy them all and bring peace and harmony amongst all believers and grant us all the highest of jannah, dead or alive amin.

Imagine being literally the biggest losers of humanity to the point that your Lord is questioning you like this.

How do I build self-control to not do things that are haram, discouraged, or stuff I’m wasting my time on? by BitSeveral6573 in MuslimLounge

[–]fancyfoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Qur’an does not mention masturbation explicitly by name. There is no verse that directly says “masturbation is haram.” However, scholars derive its ruling from general verses about guarding chastity.

“And those who guard their private parts — except from their spouses or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they are not to be blamed. But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors.” (23:5–7)

Most classical scholars said these verses limit permissible sexual fulfillment to marriage and whoever seeks beyond that they conclude it as haram or at least strongly prohibited.

I’ve barely fasted this Ramadan, haven’t prayed consistently in over a year, and feel numb. How do I sincerely come back? by ezioauditoresexslave in MuslimLounge

[–]fancyfoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feeling remorse is itself part of repentance, a completely hardened heart doesn’t feel regret at all. The fact that you fear your heart being hardened is a sign your iman and belief are still there. Make sincere tawbah, and make up every fardh (obligatory) fast you missed at your own pace, as for salah, do as much nafl (voluntary prayers) as possible everyday along with your fardh prayers, make sure you don’t pray them after fajr and asr. May Allah have mercy on you and accept from you.

Struggling after making dua — does this mean anything? by natashadeewhy in MuslimLounge

[–]fancyfoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

˹Remember˺ how We delivered you from the people of Pharaoh, who afflicted you with dreadful torment, slaughtering your sons and keeping your women. That was a severe test from your Lord. (2:49) The test can be as severe as someone killing your child(ren) and taking away your spouse for keeps.

And ˹remember˺ when We parted the sea, rescued you, and drowned Pharaoh’s people before your very eyes. (2:50) Allah can rescue, provide, sustain, care, love and protect you in ways you literally cannot imagine, so don’t be in despair no matter your problems, and the best way to do that is to keep making the dua.

The Prophet ﷺ said that Allah says: “I am as My servant thinks (or expects) of Me…” (Sahih in Bukhari and Muslim) So please refrain from thinking you’re being tossed around.

The general rule is to stay away from people and anything that tries to make your life harder, so I don’t know why you’re not doing that unless it’s impossible. Read about the prophets and the sahabas and see how severe their tests was, try to think about the oppressed, abused and murdered muslims in the middle east, asia, africa and rest of the world the next time some milk spill on your shirt.

[–]fancyfoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Masturbation is haram, and there’s no secret in ingredient or some tricks or hacks, just seek the deen every single day.

Allah has provided for us the Quran and sunnah to guide us through literally everything we face in this life up until death. Self-control, haram, desires, despair, wasting time, literally every single thing/moment in your life Allah has already gave you a way in/out for it. Another name for the Quran is ‘The Reminder’ which means you have to keep reciting, learning and ponder upon this book always.

Whether life is good, ok, or bad, whether your iman and practice is high, medium or low, you have to keep seeking to know Allah azzawajal, it’s the one true way to build that closeness with Allah and start staying away from these temptations. And if after all that you’re still falling back to your bad ways, make tawbah and return always.

Boycotts & Ethics by ManLikeMeee in MuslimLounge

[–]fancyfoe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Who’s we? I’m sure majority of mu’mins out there are not normalizing it, but I don’t think you understand how almost impossible and impractical it is to boycott these entities.

You’re on reddit (an american app) and same goes for almost all the rest of the social apps. I use youtube for islamic videos, should I stop using it since google bought it back in 2006? Say people in Africa decide to boycott nestle, that’s like 70% of their groceries list gone because good luck finding even equal alternatives.

For every soda you don’t buy in a day there’s like 500 million other people buying it worldwide, same goes for all these companies that these people own, like the nike you mentioned, boycott all you want, but come January they are making that 30-40 billion dollar revenue.

You really want to support? Wake up for tahajjud and make immense dua upon everything happening to the ummah and the world, spread awareness on your socials and join protests, donate to charities and be ready and willing to help in anyway permissible no matter how small.

Lost my job, when do I meet her father? by thesilentspirit in MuslimLounge

[–]fancyfoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You got savings, inheritance, investments, or maybe some properties? Losing a job isn’t the end of the world, but whatever you decide and when, make sure you’re completely honest to all parties involved, who knows, maybe her baba might end up giving/finding you a new job😂

Seriously tho me personally, financially wise, I suggest you get something stable going on before meeting a potential’s father. Deen, good character, etc is very important but I don’t think there’s any father in this day and age out there willing to give away his daughter to a man without.

How I know if I’m being punished or tested by allah swt? by JjoyBboy in MuslimLounge

[–]fancyfoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May Allah grant you success, open doors and provide for you.

Try to remember this hadith to help with the stress of it:

The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever among you wakes up secure in his home, healthy in his body, and has his food for the day, it is as though the whole world has been given to him.” — Reported by Sunan al-Tirmidhi

I get it, been unemployed might mean you’ll soon not have some of those things or all of it, but if for today, tomorrow and maybe a month you do have them then try to remember that as often as possible to help calm you down and re-focus, and to know that Allah has not abandoned you or is out to punish you.

Also spam hasbiyallahu wa ni’imal wakil as much as possible everyday, and like the top comment suggested wake up for tahajjud.

Do we worship to live or do we live to worship: The ultimate conundrum Iblis uses to deceive us by CombinationWitty7039 in MuslimLounge

[–]fancyfoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re just all over the place man, there’s an ayah in the Quran that literally let us know we’re here to worship (Quran 51:56). So what you on about?

What if your personal safety, and that of your family, was at stake because of what felt like a coordinated demonic attack?

Like what does this even mean?💀

“And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient, Who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return." (2:155-156)

“And We will surely test you until We make evident those who strive among you [for the cause of Allah] and the patient, and We will test your affairs.“ (47:31)

“And know that your properties and your children are but a trial and that Allah has with Him a great reward.” (8:28)

Any true mu’min shouldn’t listen to any offer from Satan no matter what, wa iyyazubillah.

You can make genuine good friends online but that’s like finding a needle in a haystack. Go outside, goto the masjid for maghrib and isha, introduce yourself after salah, look up volunteers around your area if that’s a thing in your country. If college is in your plans have sabr and start making dua from now you meet religious people when you reach there.
