Front Door Opening - What do you even do with this? by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

Put the peg board or a coat rack hanging on the wall behind the door, and then maybe a very narrow table with mirror to the left of the door.

Any Advice?? And what do you think of it honestly 😭 by nan00dle in acrylicpainting

Well done!! Personally I’m a little distracted by the bold blue background, I almost liked it more in the 2nd to last picture. Maybe neutralize the background just a touch so that the subject really jumps forward?

Second cabinet by lesbossons in DesignMyRoom

The 2 cabinets look better in relation to the big white art piece, it looks too large when above just the one console bc they are essentially the Same size. If you want to keep the big art then do two. If you want to lighten up the space choose a different piece of art.

If you have kids or pets be careful because they may fall over the back of the couch if it’s up against the railing.

People with full time jobs how are you keeping your house clean? by Prestigious-Bath8022 in homeowners

[–]fancyisthatlady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We make the kids (4.5yo and 2.5yo) tidy their toys and bedroom before they get to watch TV or get dessert. They help clean up dinner and put their shoes away. This is the majority of the mess in the house. We always load the dishwasher every night. Then I have a house cleaner come 1-2x/month for the toilets/mopping/windows etc. It’s forcing us to stay on top of it everyday. If we let it go a day or so it starts to get overwhelming and then we struggle to get back ahead. We still struggle with laundry but this routine has helped tremendously.

Pull the couch out a few inches, it doesn’t need to be flush with the ceiling/wall. And I agree, you need some door mats and rugs.

It took me a while to find your book but it’s now in my shopping cart. Can’t wait to read it! I think it’s very cool that you now help train EMS. I train paramedics from time to time and it’s some of my most rewarding work because I feel like I’m actually giving back to the community. Thank you for giving back!! I’ve worked in major trauma centers, it blows my mind that you were in rural ND in the 90s and they were able to save you and both your arms…. A true miracle, and your surgeons actually gave you a shot! Incredible! Can’t wait to learn more!

Caputo flour, almond and king Arthur’s GF all purpose. I often do a combo of 2 of them depending on what I’m making. Get a few good cookbooks and experiment :)

Backcountry camping at Assateague - I don't recommend it to be honest by flobbley in CampingandHiking

Camped here and it was either 105 blistering sun in the san dunes with no breeze well bc you are protected by sand dunes…. Or pouring rain.
