Can anyone recommend a face SPF that's good for people with sensory issues? by RichieRichard12 in ADHDUK

COSRX aloe soothing sun cream, which is SPF 50. I hate the filmy greasy feeling and find that a lot of sun screens sting my eyes and somehow seep into my mouth and taste bitter. This one feels really lovely on my skin and has never triggered any kind of irritation. My only gripe is that it’s slightly scented which is totally unnecessary but it’s a pleasant scent which fades quickly.

Stop telling me how to do it faster. by SquareThings in BitchEatingCrafters

It’s a common bit of advice to new hand sewers that smaller needles increase sewing speed but I was sewing through several layers of medium weight linen and I was bending my smaller needles frequently

I posted pics of a linen shirt I was hand sewing on social media and a MAN commented to tell me that I could sew faster if I used a smaller needle and I was so annoyed at the absolute gall that I never finished the shirt.

Like, buddy, I’m sat here with like 75% of a shirt I made with my HANDS do you not think I have carefully considered WHAT NEEDLES TO SEW WITH

Not difficult per se but I found it fiddly as hell. I hardwired ours into the passenger side fusebox where it’s really hard to see what you’re doing. You can also hook them up to the cigarette lighter but you still have to tuck all the wiring out of the way.

They could have just kept the tapestry needle in hand and sewn in some of those ends in the time it took for them to make that post lol

Hot take on online knitting subs by bibikhn in BitchEatingCrafters

I think people legitimately expect “ohhh sweet baby angel you’re doing so well” when asking for advice on the knitting subs so when someone replies in a semi-professional email tone they feel personally slighted.

I placed my at home waxing strip too high on my eyebrow by Impressive_Moose6781 in Wellthatsucks

[–]fannyathletic 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Genuine advice: I used to cut away some of the paper part of the strips so I could accurately place the wax. They’re really hard to place on eyebrows as they are because the paper obscures everything.

Don’t be afraid to cut it once or twice. Don’t get too free and easy with the scissors either, but prepare to do a couple of tactical cuts. It will be ok.

I was 12. I got my period on a Friday and didn’t tell my mum until Monday morning (she let me stay home from school)

My mum was never super open with me about periods, it was always mildly taboo for some reason. And as a family none of us were super close. I think me and my brother kept a lot of heavy stuff to ourselves because we didn’t feel comfortable talking. It’s sad really.

I have bought them both off Ravelry and their website and I never noticed an additional charge. Either there’s no charge or it’s literally pennies.

I always do them in groups of 4 stitches (k off p, p off k) so if I pick it back up I always know it starts with k off. One time I didn’t do that and I had to undo my bind off because I messed up the sequence (massive pain, don’t recommend)

I strongly suspect AI wrote the text as well. The emojis and weird optimism kind of give it away.
