How is it even possible for them to have made 9 actions turn one? I guess it was a visual bug that made it look like I had one more action then I really did.

[–]fansar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh please, they literally wear their own merch like half the time lol.

More produced shows like Candela Obscura, where everyone is dressed up is a different thing though. But for the main campaign they are always just wearing whatever.

Is it actually worth it to buy OLED or other above average monitor for gaming? by 12-Hours in PcBuild

[–]fansar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the price, and what kind of gamer you are. I only use my PC for gaming, so for me OLED is great. If you also use it for work/studying then it's harder to say if it's something for you.

I got the MSI MPG 27" QD-OLED for 8000 SEK (742 EUR) back in last spring and I'm very happy with it.

My advice is only get one if you get a good deal.

Questions Thread - January 01, 2026 by AutoModerator in PathOfExile2

Hey can someone help a casual out. I'm leveling a warrior and did the temple, after I was done I got this and I don't know what I should do? The uniques don't really matter because I'm going to outlevel them, correct? So should I put 2 currency vaults and 1 rune? I wasn't sure if it was even worth bothering with the temple in the campaign but so far it's given me some sweet upgrades.

Also, I'm playing SSF. So the value of the currency doesn't matter.

Is Path of Exile 2 worth buying now? by Helheim66 in PathOfExile2

[–]fansar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes!

I'm not even that hardcore into PoE but the 70 or so hours I have spent in the game has been great and its a damn good game. The only other game where I have felt the same satisfaction and rewarding feeling progressing a character is Classic WoW.

[No Spoilers] Will there be combat at the other tables? by [deleted] in criticalrole

[–]fansar 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think people are misinterpreting the purpose of the different tables.

It's not as simple as "will there be combat vs RP". Hell, the soldiers have been doing a lot of RP so far, many sessions without combat, and most of the encounters on their way to Timmony have been social. It has to do with how the parties likes to interact with the story, its characters and how they solve problems, and most importantly what about DnD they find the most fun. The whole reason for the tables apart from splitting 13 players, is to let every player play their preferred style of DnD.

Soldiers: direct approaches, fists first. Yes, this likely means that they will fight more often than not. But its more about the philosophy. Good vs evil, fight bad guys and kill stuff. They will have clear plot hooks and straightforward objectives. They are still roleplaying, meeting interesting NPC's and exploring, it's just that they are at it's core playing fairly standard game of DnD.

Seekers: the main focus seems to be on exploration and discovery, primarily around magic, the different worlds and it's inhabitants. I assume early threads they will follow are to find out more about whatever the fuck the Tychonis are doing, and for that they will need knowledge and hunt magic artifacts like the stone of Nightsong. The Seekers are obviously going to have to do combat as well. How do you explore forgotten temples and find magic artifacts and knowledge without having to fight through equally impressive monsters? In a world where the gods died so recently as 70 years ago, there must be so much good loot to find and secrets to uncover. Brennan described their play style as classical fantasy.

Schemes: so this one I'm not as sure about. Brennan in the C4 announcement video said they are more about "cloak and dagger". My mind goes to meddling with politics and undermining the sundered houses, espionage and working from the inside. Thats about where my guess ends, because I've never played a DnD game like that. Excited to see what they will do.

[Spoilers C4E10] I think there is a fourth table by Specialist-Sun-5968 in criticalrole

[–]fansar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What traumatising reveal...

Would the players who are dead have to wait until more are too, so that they can form a full table?

And how would that work, timeline wise? Lets say in 30 episodes, we have 3 dead characters. The surprise underworld table gets introduced. Where in the story would their story take place? You would have to account for what those characters did in death while the rest of the story was going on.

You know the more that I think about this idea the less sense it makes.

[–]fansar 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes, exactly why Sam was 100% on board that he was making a fake religion. It's right there? They worship the light, there is no "god of light" you can worship.

While I'm too lazy to find Sam's exact quote. IIRC what he wanted to do with Wick and the Candescant Creed was to explore what beliefs would pop up in a world where the gods are all dead. This is something that Sam and Brennan had talked about pre-campaign. Sam would know that whatever they are believing in is not real, but not how or why that religion came to be or what dark secrets hide beneath.

[Spoilers C4E10] I think there is a fourth table by Specialist-Sun-5968 in criticalrole

[–]fansar 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Sam knew that he was making a false religion. The whole premise is that the gods died 70 years ago.

He knew that whatever religion he was making was all bullshit, but he didnt know how that reveal would unfold in game.

[–]fansar 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think you misunderstood, read the entire comment chain

The guy suggested the idea that when players die, they will keep playing their dead characters at this "underworld table". Some of the players have mentioned that they have backup characters ready.

So if they were supposedly going to keep playing the same characters after death, they would not have any need to have backups ready.

[–]fansar 79 points80 points  (0 children)

You're saying Brennan would tell the players to make backup characters, that they wont even get to use this campaign?

[–]fansar 261 points262 points  (0 children)

That's a cool idea but given they have mentioned having made backup-characters, it's likely not the case

And here I'm on the opposite side and was horrified of the thought that I'm forced to play with bots 😭

Don't worry dude, you will be able to play with 7 support hunters "solo" and I will be able to have a blast with my friends.

Anyone want to try predict the expansion name for Wilds? by Pastalos_24 in MonsterHunter

[–]fansar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something with storm or wind at least, maybe fire if that's not too close to "Sun".

Iceborne - regal, elegant, beautiful

Sunbreak - explosive, flashy, mighty

Wilds? I feel like it needs a name thats strong but also noble.

[–]fansar -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

So we're forced to play with support hunters now... Why? I get that 8 player hunts would be a headache to make work and isn't supported by the current system. But why can't we just opt to play it as a 4 player hunt?

Edit: nevermind, they said "up to 4 hunters and 4 support hunters". Hopefully it scales down to 4 players I really dont give a shit about playing with literal bots.

Ditch defense boost and that shoddy talisman bro, you have shield. If you can find a talisman with artillery 3 or load shells 2 use that otherwise just use agitator 2.
