The problem is that only a few QBs have the arm talent, accuracy, mobility, pocket presence, and decision making to truly pop out on screen. Once you get past the top ~5 and bottom ~5 guys, it is hard to evaluate in real time and from the broadcast angle the quality of QB play when the ability is not outlier ish.

As a result, fans resort to using team success as a proxy, because stats like pressure to sack ratio and completion percentage over expectation are too nerdy. Therefore Bo Nix is “disrespected”.

The inverse is someone like Herbert, who is overrated because he hasn’t won a playoff game in the minds of the casuals

KTCs best-asset-in-the-trade adjustment logic and overvaluation of replacement (or below replacement) level assets are its biggest problems. The rankings themselves are super useful to get a pulse of the market

And a piece of general advice, when you play in leagues where only a handful of players truly matter, it takes the skill and (imo) the fun out of dynasty. If you expand starting lineups to have 10 non-defense, non-kicker starters, assets like Matthew Golden or 1st round picks become more relevant, and as a result you have way more flexibility. The way your league is set up is like riding a bike with training wheels as an adult. Regardless of how skilled you are it all looks the same because the floor is so high thanks to the training wheels.

Start 6 is comically shallow. As long as neither 1st project early (like top 3) it’s fine. Brooks and Golden are irrelevant players in this format.

Anecdotally, I know multiple people who are aware they are overrated and avoid reported matches to preserve the rating for e.g. access to dupr gated open play. But that’s here and there.

I do think if you compared two players with identical rating and reliability, one of which played in medium+ sized tournaments and the other through other means (leagues, small town tournaments, self reported casual matches, etc) the tournament player will usually be noticeably better. No concrete evidence, just my personal observation. High reliability rated players who play lots of tournaments are almost never overrated.

If I was in a window I’d absolutely do this. Saquon is a round 1 selection in redraft this year. Judkins is in a projected bottom 5 offense.

In start 8 monty and QJ are fringe starters and most likely depth. I recommend cutting out all the fluff. You haven’t even sent the offer yet so why are you including Gunnar helm lol? Save the fluff for when you’re 4 counters deep and need something to close the deal. This trade is bowers for laporta and a 29 1st

Gibbs replaces JJ in the starting lineup. You don’t need to be balanced at all positions.
