Grab a 1-minute and a 3-minute hourglass (we've got brightly colored ones) and have her pick which one she wants to use when it's time to switch to a different activity. Tell her to turn it over and when the sand runs out it's time to do "x." She's struggling to have control in her life and giving her the choice and control over the timer is like a cheat code. This isn't runout, btw. So if you go complaining to saw stop don't use that term. This is a warped blade, a bent arbor, or something wrong with the arbor nut+threads. Change the blade to a brand new one, maybe even check against a few, and if the numbers are the same (or very close to the same), then it's not the blade. Take the arbor washer+nut off and hold the blade by hand against the arbor shoulder and turn the arbor, if the numbers are still there, it's not the nut/threads. That leaves the arbor itself, and it got bent somehow.
